I was going goo-goo over a baby yesterday in a restaurant when had lunch with the in-laws, she was copying her Mum and blowing on her food before taking a bite!
That's lovely news about your friend Wendz, I wish my friends would start having babies but it looks like I'm going to be waiting a while... I'm going to have to get them told that I want them to hurry up!
Thanks for reminding me about the rugby head Cinny, I just about manage to push it to the back of my mind when someone brings it up and it's all I can think about again! :rotfl:
Poor NIM, that sounds rotten. I'd have said it sounded like stress as when I was poorly last summer it turned out to be anxiety (:o) but only after having many blood tests for loads of suspected ailments, I had similar symptoms though, but not being sick... but I don't do sick so I can never use that as an indicator! Lets hope it's just a bug that'll work its way out of his (and your!) system quickly.
Just got a good letter from the Housing Association for once! They were trying to make us pay over £600 in arrears for maintenance fees and I argued (and argued and argued...) that the figure had been made up and they should have started billing us at the correct time so the arrears needn't have built up to such a stupid figure etc, they've now magically 'found' £400 from the previous management company that we paid when we first moved in so they've reduced what we owe them to £167, it equates to about 6 months which is about right/better than expected since that's when they sent us the first request for payment so hurrah, no more stressing about that! :jOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. Good for you Birdie - it just shows what people try to charge you if you don't stand up for yourself! Reminds me of my friend having her MOT (at Kwik Fit, silly girl) - they rang her and said it's going to be £450 and she said "I'm sorry that's just too much, I'll have to take it elsewhere" and they IMMEDIATELY knocked £200 off the price! Taking the p or what?!
Thanks Swinstie, I'm keeping my fingers crossed with the weather too, I think the snow is still pretty bad on top of Ben NevisI'm hating that I now say "I'm doing the three peaks on Friday" rather than "in .... weeks" or even "next Friday"

Doctor has decided NIM has a migrane. Perfectly plausable, except he doesn't actually have a headache! could be a wierd presentation I guess, if its still there tomorrow he'll have to guess at another diagnosis.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Can't believe the Kwik-Fit story Tete! That's mental!
I really can't quite get over the fact that the 3 peaks has come around so soon, this week! Some ladies from work walked the Race For Life yesterday and keep asking for donations, I had to explain that all of my charity money has gone to a friend who ran the RFL and who is doing the 3 Peaks... when I mention that everyone goes, 'Oooh wow!' I will be donating tonight, got paid today so will do it whilst I'm moving my money around!

Awww shucks Birdie, made me sort of sit up straight all proud like a peacock ruffling his feathers
Just hope I can do you proud now!

I had a horrible bug on Monday and Tuesday. I just felt so sick and then had vomiting and diahorrea. I hope NIM doesn't have the same. (Sorry probably WAY too much info there
) I felt so sick I had to get OH to turn the bed to face away from the new wallpaper, as it was making me feel ill :rotfl:
Yay for three peaks this weekend Tete - are you excited too?
LOL at Rugby Head comment Cinny!

That bug sounds awful Lara, you know it's bad when the decor makes you feel ill! Glad you're better now!
I'm sure you'll do us all extra proud Tete! Is everyone else excited about it or are they nervous and wishing it'd all be over?!
It is truly amazing how much 'stuff' OH and I have accumulated in just 2 years in a little flat, I sorted out our bookcases last night and now have 3 bags of books to be Amazoned/Charity Shopped and managed to empty a DVD/CD storage tower so that can be given away to make some room! Tonight's job is the little cupboard that's overflowing with clothes... I'm aiming for a bin bag full for the charity shop!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I'm ALIVE...ish. Headache showed up later on in the day, then I couldnt lie on my right cause it felt like knives were stabbing me in the temple. Mostly recoered now, although the quack only gave me cocodamol. Not sure what they were supposed to do given I got 2 sumatripton from the FIL and they didnt knock me out, or make me feel particularly sleepy.
I need to get out of this place now. Do something thats a) challenging and b) appropriately renumerated
Sorry, ranty now, hows everyone else. Tete your going to be setting up your own charity soon the amount of stuff you've been doing. Cinny, I might be looking for some cleaning tips off of you soon, these tiles have me driven demented. Poolie, if they are getting rid of people, and I really hope you are not one of them, but if they do, get as much stock as you can and hit ebay, least they can do for youThis was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
