Carbon monoxide can affect some people more than others. We had a leak at uni and it was me and one of my housemates who had headaches, tiredness etc and the others weren't really affected. Not saying it is that though.

Hope you feel better soon NIM.

Glad you're feeling better NIM, sounded horrible! And poor Lara too :(

Tete, are you carb loading for the weekend? (yum!) hope the weather is kind and you really enjoy it once you get started - it must be really nervewracking! x

PS. Wendz, Poppy is so lovely - and she does look like you! I watched an episode of One Born Every Minute the other day too - something is happening, maybe my maternal instinct is kicking in!

Glad you're feeling a little better NIM! And feel free to ask for any tips, I'll try the best I can :D

Carbon monoxide things always sound just plain nasty. I feel so dorky sitting here reading it though and my first thought was 'Oooh, that sounds like EMF!' I need to stop watching so much Ghosthunters.

Off to the cinema tonight, to see that 'Bad Teacher' or whatever it's called! Hopefully it'll leave me a little more sane minded than when I went to see Insidious. I mean, the ending of that was pretty balls but I kept getting 'tiptoe through the tulips' in my head and thinking I'd go in the kitchen to find a small ghost child booty shaking next to the radio.

Glad you feel a bit better NIM, scary thought about the carbon monoxide though, not something I would have thought of! And eek to the bug Lara, doesn't sound pleasant at all!

Does Bad Teacher have Cameron Diaz in it? Haven't been to the cinema in an age but watched Black Swan and The King's Speech recently (late I know) - I'd say I enjoyed them both moderately.

Ohhh Poddle I'm totally carb-loading! Just had some chinese noodles for dinner, not sure I'm doing it quite right :D Also trying my best to drink loads of water, I'm hopeless at it normally but really need to try and hydrate myself ahead of the bloody thing. I think a few of them are excited, but mostly we're nervous. One of my bloggy friends did the challenge last weekend and I'm not sure how her post has made me feel, I'm glad the snow has gone from Ben Nevis at least! No more charity plugging for me after this NIM, I hate being *that* person, but this is a charity close to my heart and it IS a big challenge so I don't feel too bad (not like Birdie's colleagues walking a paltry 3 miles :D)

Ordered a carbon monoxide alarm last night, I've been really tired and nauseous for about 2 weeks too, so that kind of would tie in... still hoping for bug for me and migrane for him though!

No money update, payday in 3 days and I can't wait, this month has been tight but I think we'll just scrape through, but next month will be hellish with everything we need to raise money for. I think we need to save/pay off about £2200 - about £1550 we don't know where is going to come from....so, about £50 extra per day to find! Fingers crossed for euromillions - my work have 21 tickets on tonight.

Is it a big one tonight? I'm dying for my granny to win the lottery (don't do it myself) - she always says "thirty thou would do me" and I can have the rest :D

Wanna talk hardcore? Part swim the channel in a pool...ok not so hardcore.
But when I was 12, and for 5 years there after I did a 65mile cross country ride for charity, never failed to raise more than €200.

I must start doing things like that again.

Ah shush, I got them last time. Just.

I keep telling you to do charity stuff again! I'm terrible with sarcasm on forums, I take it you were being sarcy about the hardcore?!

Aye it's about £89million tonight Tete, so even between 17 of us we wouldn't be scraping by! My grandad always says he'd be happy with £250,000 to 'see him out' and mum and the kids (me and brother) can have the rest. Personally I'd be chuffed just to get enough to clear our debts, or even better, debts and morgage. Oooh debts, morgage and finish the house, even better.

Your friend looks so tired Tete, I had no idea so many people didn't manage to finish it.

Getting dirty looks in my office as I have a jacket spud - a 'banned' food on pretty much all their diets.

I did sort of part swin the Channel in a pool, remember a couple of years ago I was doing something or other I'd seen, swim the channel (21miles) in so many days by adding up all your lengths ... then the government brought in free swimming for under 16s and over 60s (not the current govt obv) and the pool was so crowded all the time I had to abandon it  Couldn't cycle further than about 3 miles though, the saddles are too painful!

EDIT, no I thought that was a high percentage to drop out, am a bit scared!

Pah to your diet friends, I'm having a Wispa! It makes me laugh some of my FB friends constantly on a diet, they report in saying "Oh no, all my hard work and I put on a pound at SW, right that's it I'm haing a takeaway and eight pints of cider!" and I think, no wonder you never lose any weight!
