Cinny I'd pay your mileage if you werent the far end of yorkshire :p

I don't like to think of it as the 'far end' more like the start :D

Really hope your job's okay Poolie :( Must be pretty worrying right now for you though.

Did everyone have a nice weekend? The BBQ on Saturday was cancelled so my practiced 'innocently horrified' face was for nothing! It was cancelled because of the bad weather which then turned out to be lovely... do these people not know the score with living in England yet?! We went to York for a wander instead which was nice but it's no fun going shopping when you've got nothing to spend and we can't even treat ourselves to a nice lunch! Sick of it! :(

How was the Cat Trail Tete? I saw one cat on a wall on Saturday and got a bit excited, OH thought I was mental! And how is your little 'niece'?

Was Poppy spoilt all weekend Wendz? Hope you got a lot of rest since everyone else was looking after her! :)

Ahh I didn't see you in York, but then I did have my nose in the air looking for the cats! It was really frustrating actually, there were numbers missing on the map and the map numbers didn't correspond to the numbers in the description of where to go, we only got by because my friend has lived in York for five years and knows her ay around really well. We found them all in the end but it was a slog! Don't let it put you off though, judging by the website the mao has been updated since (we were using one we'd picked up in March).

Little niece is lovely, smiling and laughing a lot and waving a bit as well, she lifted her arm when we were saying bye yesterday - that's pretty clever for a four month old surely?! Friend also loved the knitting bag I made her which was nice to see (did I mention it on here? It'll be going on the blog soon!).

How annoying about the BBQ though, you'll have to store up that 'tactic' for next time!

Fingers crossed for your job Poolie, it's so horrible to be under that sort of threat, particularly knowing how the job market is, bloody Cameron and his plastic face!

Cinny I think TPA was referring to your cleaning business with the granite and the compensation claims - can you imagine trying to be frugal using lemons and ruining someone's snazzy £20k kitchen (*figure is an estimate, I have no idea of the cost of kitchens)

    Morning,

Shame about the bbq birdie! After you practiced the horrified face as well. Rubbish about the skintness :(

We had a reaaly lovely weekend. My mum and dad loved seeing Poppy and on sat we went to see OHs mum, couple of his sisters and nieces. Then went to my friends and found out she is pregnant again so poppy will have another friend yay. Also one of my friends who hadn't seen her yet gave us some lovely dresses for her. I think her wardrobe is better than mine!

Sunday we went to visit my Grandma who was very pleased to see her great grand child.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

Morning all. Had a lovely weekend, went to 2 National Trust properties, so lots of walking and seeing pretty plants and old rooms. Also nice to spend all that time with family.

NIM not well today, lots of mystery symptoms like dizzyness, tingling arms, blurred vision, so he's going home and to the docs this morning. My personal guess is maybe stress as he's having a rotten time at work lately, but hopefully the doc can help him out. Unfortunately he's seeing the practice chocolate teapot, so I've told him to stage a sit in if he tries to send him home with 'hunger' or something equally stupid. I've been feeling odd for a few days too though, completely off my food and very tired, so maybe it's actually a bug.

No real progress on the business over the weekend as the house needed a clean, and we were out so much. I've taken Friday off to get some work done on it though. Hopefully having a good 'sort it out' phone call on it all this evening too.

Oooh no, I won't be using super OS ways cleaning houses unless people want me to. I won't be sneaking in with the bicarb! In all fairness, I only use OS ways on the the weekly things like windows, frames, grout and drains. (I'm a friggen poet!) Day to day I love my Dettol Apple a little too much :o Although at like, £2.20+ a bottle unless it comes up on offer before my current one runs out I've told myself I have to give it up

Seems like you had a fab weekend though Tete. I love it when babies mirror actions! I don't know if any of you watch The Shaytards but I was cooing over their youngest (Rocktard) the other day when he was mirroring their eldest Son's actions and kept on doing 'incy wincy spider' moves.

Shame the BBQ was cancelled Birdie! But the 'innocently horrified' face will come in useful for many other things, like say if your OH's rugby head was to one day magically be found smashed on the bedroom floor.

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend Wendz, and congrats to your friend!

I hope NIM's alright Dinah, and you too for that matter! My OH was complaining of the same kind of things last night, so it might just be a very odd bug. At least, unlike my Mr, NIM is willing to go too the Doctors.

It takes a LOT to get him to go, he's had a dodgy hip for a month and didn't go. He only goes if he needs injections to go abroad usually. He got to the docs and is now actually being sick. Its starting to remind me a lot of when my dad had vertigo. Which I would rather it was than any of the scary diabetes, stress or stroke Dr Google came up with!

Glad you had a nice weekend Dinah and hope NIM feels better soon and the doctors actually do something.

Tete - the cat walk sounds fun even if it was hard to navigate. Your 'niece' sounds like a little angel as well, does sound advanced to be waving at four months!

We have got a man coming this afternoon to fix our ceiling in the hallway where the plumber bashed it in because of a leak lol.

    Hi all,

Hope you get good weather for your 3-Peaks Challenge Tete! We were in Fort William/Mallaig from Thurs til Sun and it was mostly lovely. Didn't manage to get up Ben Nevis, we realised that we were not at all prepared after reading stuff in the B&B about it i.e. needing compass, maps, torches etc. We had walking boots, trousers, jacket and fleeces!

We did go up in the Aonach Mor gondola, OH was looking a bit scared but then relaxed, I was relaxed then got scared when it stopped mid-way up, was convinced we were about to drop and bounce down the mountain!

Can't remember all the news as had to read about six pages, but congrats on having a baby boy Flower and also congrats on the new business Cinny.
