Haha I used to have a fear of needles but being pregnant knocked that out of me.
I hope it doesn't take too long to sort tooth either.
we are off to southampton this weekend to see our families and friends so atleast my mum cann help entertain poppy. Anyone doing anything nice this weekend?0 -
Mum and I are going to a stately home for a wander and a scone while NIM and dad wait for the builder and his legal woman to come look at the issues in the house.
Thinking I might have to put the launch date back a bit. The packaging looks like it could hold everything up. Better to get it done right and it take an extra week I guess. Although it does mean we'll completely miss the 2011 wedding season.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Sounds like Dad and NIM drew the short straw there! Better to postpone Dinah than launch when things aren't right - I know from experience on the project I'm working on at the moment, it's a total bloomin shambles!
Ah have a lovely time Wendz, hope the pills kick in in time for the weekend.
I'm off to York with the girls (and lil Isabella :happyhear) - we're hoping the weather will be nice so we can do the Cat Trail - can't believe I didn't know about this before now!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I had no idea about the Cat Trail Tete! I've been to York a gazillion times... how did I not know about this?! Right, that'll be something to do when OH and I get a free day together one weeked!
Some lovely weekend plans (well, apart from NIM sitting around for a builder!), we're going to a BBQ tomorrow at OH's bestie's house... this invite did not state that we were to bring beer and meat! :rotfl: The rude/tight people have managed to wrangle an invite though and I have a feeling that my mouth will run away with me after a couple of Cuba Libres! Ah well, she stood me up again last night and texted me with a watery excuse at 8pm, I think we just need to phase these people out of our lives, we feel sorry as no-one else really likes them but it's kind of obvious why!
Completely agree that it is best to wait until the product is perfect before launching... I would say that though as I'm in quality assurance (albeit in IT!) and agree with Tete, it's a shambles when something substandard goes out into the world! Why would you miss the whole wedding season if you push it back by a week or 2 though? I'll ask our friends tomorrow if they're planning on cupcakes for their wedding next year and mention that I know someone who may have something of interest!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Cinny, well done on your OH getting the job - and completely different to what he was doing before!
I didn't know there was a cat trail in York! Though we did the ghost walk last November and I definitely remember a cat on a roof being pointed out - have a brilliant time, Tete!
Birdie, I'm glad you're socialising with proper friends who know how to host a barbecue!
Thanks for the add Wendz! Will have a nose later
Dinah, shame you might have to delay, but I agree that getting right first time will be crucial. Fingers crossedLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Sounds like the delay is for the better Dinah, and I'm sure you'll still be able to tap into some of the wedding market.
Thanks everyoneI'm really very proud of the lad! He's off out with his broski this evening, so I'm at a bit of a loose end. Oh well, I'll think of something. No big weekend plans for me, OH is working tomorrow so I'm just going to go out for a wander and I'm doing a car boot sale Sunday. Then might hang around my parents, see if I get fed!
That Cat Trial looks really fun! Depending how we're set money wise come Autumn we're wanting a weekend away, York is high on our list so I'll keep that in mind. Have fun!
Came home from work to freebies! A Montagne Jeunesse facepack, you know the £1 ones you get in Boots? If you like their FB page and fill in your details they send you a free pack to suit your skin type. And a Clinique mascara from a comp. Set me in a happy weekend mood!
Birdie, it really does seem like it's time to cut those 'friends' I get why you'd feel bad for them, but it isn't fair on you and your OH to put up with them just because no one else will. By the sounds of it, with half thought plans and cheap parties they can't think too highly of the friends they do have!0 -

Happy Freebie Friday! :T I haven't had any freebies in ages, must start entering comps and requesting freebies again!
Have to agree about these friends not really thinking much of us, I worked my little socks off making a decorated frame for their wedding present (it's not brilliant but I tried) and I've had zero recognition for it. Fair enough I'll get a standard thank you card in a few weeks but how about a text in the mean time to say, 'Oh thanks very much for the hand made gift you put so much thought into!'...
We should get everyone up/down/over to York and we can have a mad MSE wine-fuelled cat walk! :cool:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Ooh yeah a drunken cat walk sounds fun!
Birdie if they turn up to this BBQ empty handed is that not the perfect time for you to look innocently horrified "Oh hi Mr and Mrs Stinge, what goodies did YOU bring?! Oh, did you not ... oh, right..." ?? I wouldn't be brave enough even for that though!
Thanks for the freebie alert Cinny!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
