Well in a way it is recurrent because everytime he bashes it at work it clicks and takes ages to heal so we can try that angle.... we'll look into it! Always useful for the broken bones cover too since he won't give up rugby yet ;)

He's a forklifty man but does a lot of heavy lifting/ jumping around pretending to be Batman. I wish he'd get a nice safe office job but he's got too much energy to burn and not enough patience to sit around and look at a computer all day! :)

Dandy. My left contact les tore and now my eye is all angry and I can't really see anything. The contacts in my desk drawer are a pretty old prescription. ARGH

You've changed so much since you first started posting, I'm welling up at our little girl all grown up!

Oh you silly sausage! hugs.gif I've got two jobs lined up already. The possibility of an office contract in the pipeline and a one off clean next Thursday. Typically I'm going to use one brand, they don't test on animals which is the most important thing to me. I'll offer people the option of eco products if they like, or OS ways if they're that way inclined. Also going to do discounts for OAPs.

Congrats on the grant! Must be exciting, does seem so consuming though. Nice to have some Dinah posts again as well!

All those photos were taken on my iPhone with the hipstamatic app. Which I luuurve! I normally use Picnic on Flickr for editing ones I take with my camera though.

Birdie, I tend to use white vinegar and baking soda, and sometimes a bit of lemon, when I'm cleaning at home. I just like the fact it fizzes! And nothing else makes my sink shine so nicely :D

Sorry your teeth are still hurting Wendz :( Hope her first jabs went okay. I know some parents dread them!

That plan sounds like a good one for you Birdie.

Back from Poppys check and jabs. Never heard a cry like it! Must admit i had to fight not to cry too! She is all healthy though which is good , her weight is good but approx in the smallest 25 % of babies yet her length is in the top 25% of babies so she is starting well to be a supermodel haha.

Awh, poor Poppy!! At least she's good and healthy, and supermodel material :D

My OH got the job! Wooo!! _party_ It's 40 hours a week basic, and maybe the interview guy was talking it up but he said on average people get about £500+ per month in commission. He starts July 4th, so we need to go get him some new shoes and shirts. Eep :D He's so excited bless him! Calling everyone :rotfl: Worryingly called his Broski before his Mum mind.

Bad news is I think he's used all our luck up for this year. First job he applied for, first interview, and he gets it! :j

For anyone thinking about trying for a bump soon (thinking of your Birdie) consider signing up to a company called 'medicash' (or another healthcare provider, Martin has a guide). I'm with them and they give you your money back for eye tests, glasses, contact lenses, dental, and a lump sum when you give birth - but you have to have been joined 12 months at birth. The lowest level is about £5 a month, but you only get £50 of optical and dental a year, so only really checkups, but the top level is £31 I think and you get about £300 of each plus £750 on the birth of the baby - a very nice cushion to extend maternity leave. You also get money if you have to go into hospital or if you want physio or reflexology or hypnotism or anything mad like that! I feel I'm missing out only using them for contacts and teeth!

OH has a similar thing to this cheap through work (cant remember who it is with though). They take £7 I think it is directly out his wages, and get all sorts of payments for things. Think the baby payment one is only about £400 - but not bad considering its only costing us £7 per month!
Also get money if either of us has to ever stay in hospital, think its £25 per night, plus various different payments for opticians and dentist.
