Glad the boy bump is coming along well Flower! He is obviously practicing his footballing skills hehe.
I am impressed you managed to think about winter with those bargains Cinny but does sound very good deals.
I have got a sore wisdom tooth, has hurt for two days now, think is coming through some more. Can't have many drugs though for the pain as i am breastfeeding grrr.0 -
That's awful Wendz!
Hope it's feeling better soon on it's own. It's a horrible pain though, mine came through last Winter and it was awful. *shudder*
Just to be safe if Ralph does come up as a name, I did kind of get that name from Hitler. I can understand how hard it must be to pick your kids name though, I'm sure even if you can't settle on one before you meet your little guy it'll click when you see him.
Keep on checking tomorrows weather manically. Planning on getting our front garden sorted, it's a liiiittle bit of a total and complete overgrown mess. It's strayed from 'nicely overgrown' to 'what's with the jungle?!' Meant to be sunny though, keeping my fingerlings crossed!0 -

?????
Hope you get the sunshine tomorrow Cinny, I've been meaning to sort out my plant pots which are currently holding last years dead plants, I had hoped for a spring revival but no such luck! I just need to get a bag a compost... but then I don't know where to store the rest of it when I'm done... wonder if people will think I'm odd if I just walk around the communal garden scattering my leftover compost around the bottom of the trees?!
Wisdom toothache sucks big time Wendz... try chewing on cloves, they're supposed to be good for toothache although I've not tried it!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I have half a bag of compost just sat in my garden with a paving slab on top of it. Only needed a tiny bit for my hanging basket, sucks you can't just buy the compost you need anymore!
Have you ever seen Churchill the Hollywood Years? In it Hitler kidnaps the Queen and is going to make her marry him, and he's telling her how she'll have four sons 'Adolf, Randolf, Gandolf, und little Ralf - who will be our favourite' it was a joke with a friend that's just stuck! And I really like the name now!0 -
You know what, when that movie came out I wanted to watch it but never got round to it! Is it worth watching or is it only good for 'Und Little Ralf'?!
I've just counted up my list of A-Z movies that I've watched and I'm at 14, over halfway! I've watched way more but they all start with the same letters!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I was going to suggest clove oil Wendz, you apply it topically so not sure if it's allowed or not? It smells horrible and tastes horrible but it numbs it - hope you feel better soon.
Congratulations on your little boy Flower, how exciting, must really seem real now eh?
They're some good bargains Cinny, I always like to have some de-icer in as I don't really 'do' scraping!
I'm sorry but when I hear the name Ralph I just think of that Judy Blume book and cringe a little bit - but don't let that spoil it for you!!
Today, I am in the local paper  No backing out now!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Oooh Tete, too posh to scrape ice off your car eh?!
I did a stupid thing last winter, I thought I was being dead smart getting some old wallpaper to cover my windscreen so it didn't ice up... worked really well until the day it snowed and I was picking bits of soggy paper off my windscreen for days! I think that would be called a massive brain fart! :rotfl:
How exciting about being in the paper!
Which Judy Blume book has a Ralph in? I hated her books because I was forced to read them when I was younger by my teacher, I just wanted to read the Babysitters Club!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Don't worry nothing will put me off my lovely little Ralph name, mainly because I don't have a clue who that is!
Ooh, I wish I could donate some money Tete! But with having my hours cut, and trying to start up something new I really don't have the money spare. You've all raised an amazing amount so far, I normally put £5 a month to charity but my Dad has claimed that on his Iron Tush Challenge this weekend.
I was looking at an old thread of mine this afternoon (vair slow afternoon!) About 2 years old, and we're all stressing it's scandal petrol might go up too £1.20! Weird to think that was high back then, I filled up yesterday with a 6pp/l voucher so got it for £1.26pp/l and thought I was being very thrifty!
I hate scraping too Tete. But last year the ice was so thick in the mornings that de icer didn't do the job quick enough. I think I'm going to put something over my windscreen this year, or OH's at least. But I was thinking something like a towel, though wallpaper would look a lot prettier!0 -
I know! Sometimes I pass a petrol station and see £136.9 and remember when it was 99p, not that long back! It's disgraceful how much it costs now.
Don't worry about sponsorship Cinny, I don't expect it of anyone and you gave me some for my Race anywayWhat I'm annoyed at is the conspicuous non-sponsorship from people who I've sponsored for stuff in the past!
I can't believe no-one knows which Ralph I'm talking about, am I showing my age here?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
