Birdie - your friends sound like absolute nightmares. I dont usually like confrontation but I think I would have to have a word with them if I were you!
We dont have parties very often, but when we do we always make sure we have plenty of food and drink for everyone and would never expect (let alone write on the invite!) for people to bring supplies.
More often than not people turn up with up with something just to be polite but we certainly dont expect it.
We even make sure the fridge is stocked with beer and wine despite the fact that neither of us really drinks.

This talk of parties has just reminded me actually that OH usually has a big BBQ for his birthday which is next month, will have to ask him what his plans are.

What cases? I don't see anything in IT. All kept away in a locked secret cupboard.

Sounds like a dream job NIM... NIM Tells It Like It Is Inc.! ;)

Just had a look at the latest Poppy photos, she's such a cutie... and definitely a mini Wendz!

    How's the bump doing Flower?

Tete, I'm sure you'll be OK, although it's a bit scary that you have to make up the lost time thanks to a slow mini bus. I know a chap who did the 3 peaks and he's a right tubster so if he can do it I'm sure you'll do fantastically well! :D

Bump is doing good :D not sure if I told you all that we found out we're having a boy?
Starting to get big now, everything feels like more effort than it did before and finding it hard to get comfy at night! As much as I love feeling baby kick, its not fun at 2am :p OH says its babys way of getting me ready for having him around waking me in the night.

Awh, that's amazing news Flower! Another little MSE boy :D If you want to steal my Ralph boy name I won't mind at all (⌒-⌒; )

Just been to Focus with my Dad. Stocked up on de icer at 38p a can (they're the big cans too) and 10kg bags of de icing salt for our paths at £1.17 a bag. Oh, and ice scrapers for 20p each! I used my library card last year :o My store closes for good on Sunday, so might be an idea to pop in if you go by one. It deserves a swirling Martin I believe!!:money:

So far OH and I have agreed on no names at all! Its harder than you think picking names!

Sounds like you got some good bargains, I wouldnt even think of things like that at this time of year - may tell OH to pop down as he uses loads of de-icer in the winter.

Ahhhh a boy! I can imagine the pressure of picking the right name, they're stuck with it for life (in theory!)... I know that we'll have arguments when it comes to picking names, we already do!

Some super money saving there Cinny, it's sensible to get stocked up now whilst everything is cheap and in abundance. I need an ice scraper come to think of it, I used an old CD last year!

Don't you just hate it when you wake up realise it's only Wednesday?! :(
