her Dad suggested taking the dress to dulux to get a colour match and paint her back so you won't see where it doesn't fasten!
:rotfl::rotfl: Oh my goodness!
Oooh, I thought maybe she was a more *ahem* 'average' sized lady, can understand the problem a bit more now!
I didn't have a walking sweetI did, however, get a crab paste sandwich when we got back to the car after the walk. Oh yea! And Panda Pop!

Cinny, I can't believe you're old enough to remember Panda Pops!
Tete, Start is 2 for £3 in Sainsburys (am I allowed to say that?) which isn't too bad. We were only allowed it on special occasions when I was little - and coco pops too - probably because it's so bl00dy expensive! It's not even like they have Steve Cram advertising it anymoreLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Agreed Cinny - I didn't want to sound mean but if she's that big already I don't know how much help magic knickers will be...
Apparently Jelly Babies are the best things to snack on for energy, I took some with me last time and my legs didn't wobble as much on the way down. Been collecting them while they've been on 2 for 1 :money:
Thanks Pod, I would have thought we could say that? It's a moneysaving site! As long as you don't work for them I think it's fine!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I know, but I supose it's worth a try (the knickers/corset/cling film I mean!). Will be a bit rotten if she ends up not wearing the dress as the style was bought to suit her and the rest of us just had to go with it, my friend had originally picked out dresses from Coast which were easier to get hold of, prettier, something we could wear again because they weren't quite so obviously bridesmaidy and cheaper.
I haven't had Jelly Babies for ages... mmmmm... Belly Jabies! Must resist the urge for a packet until Sunday!!!
Poddle I think Martin would be disappointed if we didn't share the specifics of great deals!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hehe Tete - we had Cadbury's in Kampala because it's also made in South Africa and imported from there. It costs a lot though, and tastes a bit different because of the stuff that's added so it doesn't melt. Yum!! I had cheese and salad for dinner last night and cheese for lunch again
Gosh I heard about these killer cucumbers, that's crazy!
I feel for your friends Birdie. Embarrassing for both. Can the BM be stitched into a little cardigan or something??:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

I knew there was a reason I hate cucumbers!
Non melty Cadburys sounds a bit weird...
The bridesmaid tried her dress on last night and it... fits! Just! :T She must be one of those people whose weight goes up and down really quickly. It took a bit of hard work, (the labels got ripped off in the process) but the dress zips up... all she has to do now is stay away from the biscuit tin 'till Saturday! Thank goodness for that; I had to go along for moral support (and to try my dress on, which fits fine thank goodness!) and the bride had barely slept the night before because she was so worried! When my other friend gets married I'll be telling her that I'm more than happy to attend as a guest rather than be a bridesmaid, I can't handle all of this dress stress! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I thought Panda Pops were a 90s kid thing! I do, however, have no freakin' idea what Start is. Thought it might be some kind of laundry detergent
Phew, glad the dress fits Birdie! Was actually going to say, my Dad is 'big' (he's actually really tall, and just well. Big! He's the reason why I feel bad when Kane gets beat on Smackdown cause he's just like that!) and he can go up and down by a stone in a week (normally around the holidays!) Was going to say at least it's a weight off the Brides mind but I bet in the back of her noggin she'll be worried just if the BM randomly pops a stone!
Hope everyone's having a nice morning. Lovely and sunny here! Baked the brownies and fruit cocktail flapjacks, and the dough's ready for pizza wheel-things! Washing on the line, and I've gone around the house with various paint tins and brushes covering random scuff marks that have magically come about. We've got OH's family (and I think his Brother's new ladylove!) coming over the day after we get back, so I'm trying to get a bunch of jobs done we've had on the list since they last came (which was like, January!) Off to fill in this random hole in the wall between the hall and bathroom. It's only a tiny one, I guess they ran cables through it? But it bugs me a little, so it's gonna get did!0 -
Morning all. Woke up with a migrane today so off work, just about feeling human now although still no depth perception and feel sick. Was crazy busy yesterday, but I'll make an effort to write a better post later on (and a money update for Cinny, but I keep leading on with the promise of 'tonight'!)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hurrah for the BM Birdie, really pleased for her, poor lass! But yeah, no crazy dance moves at the disco for her!!
On the subject of weight I was at the docs tthis morning and very pleased to see that her scales matched mine at home, I had it in my head that I MUST be a stone heavier than I thought for some reason so it's nice that I'm not. Silly really as I'm perfectly happy with my weight at the mo what with all the running, but hey ho it's how the mind works I suppose.
Has anyone been getting any Ruby and Millie goodies in Boots? I got myself a face gloss - haven't a clue really how it works! While I was there this big bearded bloke came and started snatching up handfulls of products so that the shelves were almost empty - the girl next to me said "I don't think that's your colour" and he gave some story about having six daughters - likely story I thought, bound to be selling them somewhere, and then I overheard the sales lady at the till say "Weren't you in yesterday?"it quite annoys me stuff like that - anyone going in this afternoon genuinely looking for a bargain for themself won't be able to get one cos that greedy so-and-so has taken them all!
Sorry small rant thereHope you feel better soon Dinah, look forward to the money update

There should be a limi on how many items people can buy, I hate buy-to-sell-ers, it takes the joy out of finding a bargain for the people who actually use the things. Like the S&G box sets every Christmas  I had that face gloss a few years back (when I was just getting into make-up and my Mum treated me to a shed load of Ruby & Millie stuff), it's quite good, just rub it on the apples of your cheeks for a 'flush' and build up more colour if you want.
Sorry to hear about the migraine Dinah, that's not good at allHope you're feeling better now.
Good news about the scales giving you a happy reading Tete, I should think that you're in fantastic shape now!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
