Does the £100 get reset once it's spent then and you have to try and beat your own target? Does it include all household stuff too? I really need to start reining myself in again - spent £4 on lunch yesterday  - was horrified and swore I'd get the bolognese out of the freezer for today but got home and promptly forgot :wall:

I went to Beningborough a couple of times last year, love the big teapot :D

Yep includes household stuff, and yep, the idea is I'm going to beat myself this time! No, sadly Cinny all the Tesco vouchers are used too, groceries have gotten a bit more expensive now we both take fruit/smoothies to work every day, but I'm not going to complain as I'm just glad of the vitamins NIM is now getting.

Picked NIM up a few more little supermarkets for this weekend though, which is great as we'll need more milk.

Teapot was my favourite bit too! That or the scone... the rest was a bit like work!

    Hello all,

Bless your cat Dinah, sounds so sweet waiting for NIM. 23 days is good for £100, good luck for next time.

Flower - glad to hear all is well in the pregnancy and you are feeling better.

Had my mum up to visit for a couple of days this week which was nice. We went on an outing to the country park for a picnic and out for dinner at local italian where Poppy was fussed over by the waitress.

Anyone got any nice plans for the weekend?

Ah of course Cinny it's holiday baking - how exciting :D Not pigmented enough for lip stain - that's the problem essentially! It looks really bright in the packing!

Ah Wendz bet it's been nice to be out and about in the sunshine with Poppy :) I've seen loads of poppies springing up lately and I always think of you.

I'm off up Helvellyn tomorrow - 3 peaks challenge is only three weeks away, how scary is that?! So getting some practice in. Sunday I'll be hobbling about probably!

My company is due to launch in just under a month, so mine was a bit hectic, and things are only going to get worse from here on in!

How exciting about the company Dinah! Sounds like you will be busy but sounds like it will be worth it.

Aww Tete, bless you thinking of me and Poppy. How was Helvellyn?

My weekend was pretty boring. Had a lively baby at 3 am this morning who would not sleep so feeling tired today.

Hola Chicas! Hope everyone's OK today :)

How super exciting about the company launching soon Dinah! I shall eat cake in your honour when it happens!

A bit of a belated weekend round up for me but it was a nice one :) The wedding went well, the bridesmaids all fit into their dresses thank goodness, the flowers were beautiful, the little flower girls were really well behaved, (even though the 2 year old started talking about Iggle Piggle during the ceremony!) and the bride looked amazing, although I wasn't so admiring of the dress after I had to help her out of it at one point on my own (considering it took 4 of us to put it on in the first place!) so she could go to the loo! Everyone considering a wedding dress purchase at some point listen up; an internal corset, fiddly zip, ginormous skirts and a back full of tiny buttons do not make life easy for anyone involved! ;)

Hope you got a bit more sleep last night Wendz! I was talking to my friend's sister (the mother of the Iggle Piggle bridesmaid!) and she was saying that when her baby was really young she hardly slept at all and they were losing their minds then she took her to someone who did a head massage on her (think it's called cranial osteopathy) and after that she took to sleeping 12 hours a night without waking. The theory is that babies get such massive forces on their skulls during the birthing process that things get a bit compressed and cause issues with sleeping, feeding etc as they don't always naturally right themselves. She said it was about £50 but it was well worth it :)

    Hi all,

Just back from Ireland after a glorious 2 1/2 weeks there. We all went away last weekend to the hotel my sister got married in to help them celebrate their first wedding anniversary and had a great time. I think Max is now struggling with the lack of attention as he was spoilt by both sets of grandparents. Both sides love him so much that it has confirmed in my mind that this is where I want to be!

OH's job application is still being processed but it is so slow. Yesterday an agency rang him and offered him 6 months contract work in Germany for €60 an hour. It is so tempting but then he would only see us at weekends, although I would get to move home!

Dinah - fantastic news about the business. You must be so excited. Do we get a sneak preview of the website or are you waiting to launch it?

Birdie - I was considering getting cranial osteopathy on Max as his wouldn't latch on and had ridges under his cheeks from the emergency forceps but he slept well and was a good/contented baby so I didn't see the need. It was only when he got to 4 months that he decided to be inconsistent with sleep! He is good now though (touch wood!).

Tete - can you post up the link for the 3 peaks. I want to sponsor you for that.

Lara - how are the wedding preparations going? Did you ever post up a pic of your dress and BM dresses or are they a secret?

CMD -glad you had a great time in Ireland. Is lovely that Maxs grandparents dote on him. The germany job sounds like great money but would be hard him being so faw away.

Yikes Dinah, scary but exciting, are you on track timewise with it all?

I just planted 750 poppies in the garden too, I hope thay all come up it'll be like Flanders Fields :D I love them. Love the sound of that head massage thing, I'd sleep happily for 12 hours after a head massage!

Helvellyn was OK actually, only took us 3:15 and it's only 28m shorter than Scafell Pike and we have four hours in the schedule for that on the day AND I wasn't too stiff the next day either so I'm feeling quite optimistic. We've just been posing for photos for the local paper in our lovely charity t-shirts, ahhh fame! CMD that's really kind of you - our Just Giving page is here; I realise you all sponsored me for the Race for Life and I don't want to be one of *those* people haha!

Is your OH thinking of taking that job CMD? It's a lot of money... and could you get a holiday in Germany out of it?

Sounds like the wedding went well Birdie, you look lovely in the FB pics and I love the colour of your dress, quite unusual but really nice. Lara I second the motion for links to your dresses!

I'm surprised you can actually make me out in the pics on FB, they're all taken from funny angles and I'm always looking in the wrong direction! :rotfl: I just love the close-up one of me and OH, me with hair all over the place and OH pulling his straight face... nice! ;) OH made me laugh after the ceremony, he wasn't too impressed with the back view of the dresses and was having a good look (instead of paying attention to the actual wedding, naturally!) and thought, 'Urgh, they don't do anything for any of the girls, except that one, her bum looks nice.... ooooh that's my wife, thank God for that!' :rotfl:

I hope you'll be posting a link to your big newspaper story when it goes out Tete! I'll have to have a dig round for some pennies to donate :) That's a good time for Helvellyn (I think?!), looking positive for the challenge! How's the sleeping work for that? Do you sleep in the car between peaks? Do you have to climb in the dark?

That's a very good job offer for your OH CMD! Will do great things for paying off the debt for 6 months, could be worth it in the grand scheme of things, but it will be rotten only seeing him on a weekend.
