Good news that Poppy is 'official' now! How long do you have to register a birth? That's great about the payrise too, happy times!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
You have 42 days or something but you can't start claiming child benefit till you have birth certificate, although they do backdate the child benefit.0

Well to be fair we were up till after 11 with her and then up at half 7 but I am happy to be awake at those times!
That is a fantastic amount of sleep! You must feel like a new woman after that!
How are the hormones? Mine were mad after Max. I remember Oh asking me to bring out the bins and I cried because he never asked me when I was pregnant! They take a while to settle.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I am a bit all over the place. When we first came home Friday I was just crying for no reason. Had a couple of other wobbles as well.0

Don't worry about it Wendz. It is all normal stuff. My advice is just to have a cry when you feel like it. I remember how overwhelmed I was bringing Max home from the hospital as well. When you think about it, our bodies go through such a huge thing. We are sore and tired and then we have a little one to look after and feed as well.
Just try and rest up as much as you can and try to get out and about as much as possible too. It makes such a difference just to do normal things such as the shopping and having a cup of coffee out.
I am getting all gooey and broody over Poppy now

I totally need to get my head around all of this pension stuff!! I know I have one, but i dont really know anything about it and I dont put much in it every month and I have no idea what happens to it if you move jobs! Anyone got any ideas?0

If it's a company pension you won't loose it, most people have pensions from a few different jobs by the time they retire. So if you go somewhere else you'd need to get a new one. Some pensions allow you to transfer in old ones, but it's worth getting the advice of an IFA to find out if you'd be better off. With mine I put in around £150 a month, and my employer puts in around another £330 so it'd be daft to go private where they don't put anything else in except my contribution.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

My employer puts in 8% while I put 3% into mine and I am in the private sector.0

wow sounds like you both have really good deals!! I think I pay about £39 per month into mine - got no idea how much my employer contributes but I might try to find out!
I really think they should teach you about pensions at school! would have been better than some of the other "lifeskills" we were taught!!
Hope everyone on here is having a lovely day and Dinah I'm glad you enjoyed Turkey (although I think I would feel the same about the relaxing and the men/women attitudes - I've heard that before and thats one reason I dont think I fancy turkey)
I'm not planning on doing a great deal today, just clearing out some things I think and maybe doing some baking!

This is something you seriously need to take count of if you ever leave work.
