I am enjoying being a Mummy but can be very hard as well! OH is being brilliant though so feel really supported. Slowly recovering from the c section but is a good exscuse for OH to do the washing/cooking etc .

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

It's defo hard work! How is she she sleeping/feeding? Half the battle is having a supportive OH though. Just try to make sure you are resting up as much as you can (easier said than done!)

It must be so weird going through the quiet period on maternity and then getting the birth over, and then actually having to work really hard with a newborn. My friend here - his partner is in the hospital in labour. I really hope it goes well.

The thread has been very quiet - what are you all doing for the royal wedding? Street parties galore??

She seems to be hungry all the time which is pretty tiring. She isn't too bad on the sleeping , she does some stints of 3-4 hours during the night which is good.

OH seems to have a good effect on her and can get her to sleep by cuddling/talking to her where as i can only do it by feeding her!

Lara - the pub near us isdoing a bbq and things fri so we might head over there depending on how Poppy is and how busy it is If not we will prob stay in and watch it. Hows the trip?

No street parties for us. Our friends with space to actually have a decent BBQ are working so we're stuck at home and I'm sure the chavvy neighbours will have all of their family cluttering up the garden, I don't know why they have to celebrate bank holidays, they don't work-every day's a holiday! There are a couple of pubs having parties though so if it is really annoying at home we'll head off to a pub.

Sounds like your OH is really good with Poppy Wendz, must be nice having his support, I don't know how single mums do it!

Haha, don't say that they'll be out there every day! Yeah my Dad's pretty miffed that the first year he's retired there's an extra bank holiday!

Aw Wendz, you sound like a natural mum already - it's only been a matter of days! I'm glad your OH is hands on and looking after you both. I am in complete awe of all parents, let alone single mums, it's incredible.

I am off work this week (yep, one of those annoying people) and went to see lots of lambs which made me very gooey. Especially my OH bottle feeding one... is that weird?

I have a couple of friends staying over on Thursday night so we're planning on a nice British brunch - and maybe a bit of bunting - with the telly on. I'm not really fussed about the wedding itself, but will make the most of the bank holiday.

Hope you had a wonderful time Dinah! Look forward to hearing how NIM got on with his list! (Just joking, NIM )
