I did it! I stuck it to The Man and left 5 minutes early.... Next I'll be crossing the road on the red man....Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

At this rate the debt will come with me to my grave! We'll get it paid off if we either sell the house, or by the end of the year otherwise if we can stop needing to spend money finishing the house. Basically, it's all about the house!
NIM was late for the interview. He doesn't seem that phased but if it were me I'd never hire someone who was late unless they had an amazingly good reason and stuck behind a tractor isn't good enough!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Must try hard not to nag or yell at NIM. It does no good and it'll ruin the nice weekend away. I wish I was the kind of person who could just let things go!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I find it hard to let things go too. I wish I was different as well but I can always feel it building up inside me and have to let it out.
We hired mt maternity replacement and he was late due to the weather and a late train. I was also hired before and I was 5 mins late for an interview. Mind you, a whole section of Edinburgh had burnt down and my interview was in the midst of a place that didn't exist on the map anymore so I think my excuse was a valid enough one!

Also PMSL at the thought of CMD calling her baby Corona!! CMD that's great news about your OH, I really hope he gets an interview. On one of the other threads someone wrote - 'follow your passion, not your pension'. I think that's a great motto, although I think it can take some time to get into a position to be able to do that. Sorry to hear you're feeling stuck Poddle. Perhaps there is a way around it? Or could you do some work experience in your free time (pants though that is) or take some annual leave? I guess you have to find an opportunity where it's worth doing that. It sucks to have unpaid internships, people should at least get something.
Flower and Wendz, glad to hear you're both well. It's so exciting you're so close to your due date now Wendz!! I still hope she comes on Friday my birthday
I am just waiting to go out for dinner with a friend and then clubbing in Kampala for the first time! I'm strangely really nervous. It's been years since I've been clubbing and not really my scene anymore. But apparrently mandatory hereThe Dutch people have been much nicer, I think one of them heard me having a blub to OH... so that is nice.
Fingers crossed for NIM!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Hope the lateness didn't affect NIM's chances.
Glad things are better for you Lara, I am sure it was just a misunderstanding. Have a nice dinner and night out!0 -
