TMI was when my dad told me him and his best mate went and had vasectomies together!
I've just realised New York is only 4 months away! Somehow my head had it about 7 months away.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

LOL, that's a nice bit of male bonding for you! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

LOL! They needed the moral support of each other... must be a scary thing to put yourself through, you should be thanking your Dad's friend for being such a good mate... would NIM have any friends do that for him?! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Doubt it tbh. My dad was fine about it apparently, but the mate was terrified. My dads attitude was 'more kids could kill your mum, and I'd rather I had a minor op than she had a more major one. Pretty easy decision really'Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Starting to try begining of next year sounds like a good plan then Dinah (obviously if you feel ready then). That way you get to try and get rid of some debts and go to New York and the other things you want to do first.
CMD - that is exciting about the possible job, sounds like would be great for you if it happened!
At the moment our plan is to wait 3/4 years before baby number 2 due to not being able to afford two in fulltime childcare but who knows how i will feel when first one is here plans might all change!0 -
I know a lot of my friends have tried for the second one when the first turned two, wanting them closer together.
Realising New York is only4 mnoths away has brought things to focus a bit. Even if I got pregnant today (not possible but I'm doing it for the maths) surely there are unlikely to be much to put me on bed rest by 12-16 weeks?! Ie early stage pregnancy shouldn't be an issue to any of our plans.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

So are you saying that you would start trying now? I think it's true they'll never be a perfect time, so start when you're comfortable with the idea. I know it's not ideal, but debt shouldn't stop you especially with your health issues.
I'm so fed up today about financial constraints. I'm desperate to return to my previous career, but it looks like there's absolutely no way I can do it without getting some unpaid work experience - indefinitely! Which is difficult when you have a mortgage and other commitments and something I feel I shouldn't have to do as I'm 29 and DO have experience. I'm thinking I should have a cut off point when I just give up on this particular idea and do something different. Sorry for the rant, it's just driving me mad as I don't know what else to do!
CMD and Dinah, hope your OHs jobs both work out for the best! It sounds like you'd love to be in Ireland CMD. Lol at your TMI conception anecdote by the way, as long as you're not considering 'Corona' as a possible name
Happy Friday all. Hope you've all got nice weekend plansLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
No we couldn't afford to try now if we wanted to Poddle - the debt has to stop me really as there is no way we could afford for me to go on maternity leave. Until thats gone or NIMs bringing in an extra £700 or so a month its not really something we can think about.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
