Aww Lara that's horrible
it's the stuff of school playgrounds and we shouldn't have to deal with it as adults ... like the others say though it might have been a misunderstanding. At risk of sounding xenophobic, are there any English-speaking people about who you can befriend?
Hey, this'll cheer you up - my toe lump seems to be going down so fingers crossed it's NOT a bunion or callus as I had fearedStill waiting for the nail to drop off though
I had heard Holly W was in labour but didin't know it was so early - hope it all goes OK, I like her, always in her skimpy dresses hahaWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
That's the best news I've heard all day Tete! Although it is still very early!
Yay for non-lumpy toes!
Sorry to hear about what happened Lara, it doesn't matter how old you are, you still feel like an awkward kid when people exclude you, it's not nice. I'm with the others in hoping that it was a misunderstanding, are they there for as long as you are or will they be going soon to be replaced by nice new folk?
I hope everything's going OK for Holly, does anyone know if she's had the baby yet?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Morning all,
Tete - great news about the toe hehe.

Haha sorry to rub it in, it is incredibly boring if it makes you feel any better!
Ohh will have to see what they say.0 -
Well apparently she is having contractions but not in full blown labour and they are trying not to rush things as baby is early.0

I read she's given birth, little thing only weighs 5lb 2oz, but she's called her Belle. How sweet! Speaking of babas I've just seen a lady's blog I follow who's just had a little girl too, called her Darcy! Awwh! I shouldn't look at babies atm as they're making me all smushy and squishy. I think I'd like a baby, just to dress up and feed but hand back once the crying and pooping starts
Hope everyone had a nice day. It's almost Friiiday, Friiiday. Gotta get down on Friiiiday. *ahem*0 -
Awww Belle's such a pretty name! That little girl is just going to love Beauty and the Beast!
I'm a total squish monster at the minute too around babies, although I know a couple of people with 2 year-olds that's putting me off a bit, they're still cute but acting like total monsters! One of them is supposed to be a bridesmaid for my friend in a couple of months and they just don't know if she'll make it down the aisle properly, if she'll leg it, or if she'll just throw a tantrum and refuse to wear the dress and go anywhere in the first place!
Looking forward to tonight, going out with 2 lovely friends to a restaurant called Bed for their birthdays, caused much confusion when I was telling my Mum last night, 'You're going to Bed? Do you actually lie in beds?!' 'No Mum...'Oh how I wish that work would hurry up and be done with for the day! (And you part-timers and maternity leavers can keep your gloats to yourselves!
)
I was looking through my Mum's old photos with her last night and I'm so gutted that she didn't keep any of her clothes, she had some amazing dresses and mega bright kaftans, she actually wore frilly knickers underneath her mini skirts as a serious fashion statement as well! I'm going to have to make up proper albums of my photos with names and dates on the back of them all so my kids can have the same feeling that I get looking at pictures of my parents when they were my age... they haven't always been old?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
You can borrow mine if you want Cinny when she is here hehe. Belle is a lovely name.
Bed sounds good for dinner Birdie!
Don't worry give it a couple of weeks when i am sleep deprived and i will not be gloating about being off work.
My Mum took a pic of me and OH the other day to put in babies baby book as there is a space for 'my mum and dad just before i was born'. I look like a right heffer next to OH but will be cool for baby to look back on and see I think!0 -
I'm the same Birdie, all my photos are on teh computer. Worse I collected all these bits on honeymoon with the idea of making a scrapbook... they're still all in a box in the second guest room and I have no idea when I'll get around to it. Maybe it should be on my 101 (now about 150!) things list, make me do it.
My cousin has FINALLY set her wedding date (she was engaged 6 months before us but wants a A-list wedding but has a Z-list budget, so it's taken a while to match aspiration with reality and find a venue that suits). She's set it for September 6th next year (thank goodness not our anniversary!). It's quite a hike away, we'd need 2 overnight stays I think. This has thrown plans into the air a little, as daft as it seems considering its only one day, her and her sisters did make our wedding really special and I want to really be there to enjoy it. Anyway we were thinking of maybe starting trying for a baby early next year as like Birdie we're getting a bit 'squishy' around babies, however given my health issues in the past it's not a far fetched bet that if it happened quickly for us I'd not be well enough to travel in the last few months and therefore miss the wedding. So, what would anyone else do, wait until next summer to start trying, start trying earlier so we have a little baby with us, or stick to the original plan and assume it will take a few months to happen anyway?! Nice and serious brain teaser for a Friday morning.
