In fairness it's a big house. I'm downstairs at the front, he's upstairs at the back, he can yell and I don't hear him. So he's taking advantage and playing metal.
Wash your mouth out with soap. Bob Geldof is not metal. But good idea. METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I am a big metal head,This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Don't you think Metallica are a bit bland though?! Much rather have Korn or Rammstein! But then I just don't like Metallica, I'd rather listen to Apocalyptica play their songs and that's saying something
Flower - My Grandad is normally pretty on the ball, just has his moments from time to time0 -

I come and go with Korn, I've seen Rammstein live, but I think it might be a bit much to introduce someone who thinks the killers are heavy to German Industrial Metal at the moment. FYI they are the reason I did german rather than french for my GCSE and A levels.
That Apocalyptica album is good but Metallica still do it for me, that said probs my favorite album is S&M so...This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

The Killers, bless! Still, it would be pretty boring if everyone liked the same stuff. I went from Girls Aloud to Murderdolls and Slipknot over night when I was about 12 though, so things can change!
I saw Rammstein in Paris and at Manchester years ago, and did go to a rock festival in Holland but it was way too hot and left after Ozzy. They do put on amazing shows, my Mum met Till and it's the only time she's ever been lost for words. Speaking of Rammstein though, did you see the box set edition thingy they did for their latest album? Pretty awkward seeing that on my Mum's Christmas list.0 -
Pretty awkward seeing that on my Mum's Christmas list.
Am I reading this right? Your mum wanted their delux box set for christmas? Your mother, is a Rammstein fan? That is AWESOME.
that said I met Bruce Dickenson in 2006. 05 I saw Slipknot live, playing support for Metallica, twas about 2 weeks after the subliminal verses. Lost profits played that gig too, poor sods, lead singer was narrowly missed with a jack daniels bottle and most of the crowd looked away from the stage, twas a good gig :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
And for the record she doesnt actually consider The Killers to be heavy. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

Crossed the first thing off my 101 things list, made profiterolles last night and they were a huge success! It was unlike any baking I've ever done before, I really enjoyed the challenge. Need to decide which task to target next, actually that's a lie - I need to do my financial forecast so I can apply for this grant this week!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Birdie, I read your Day Zero List. When you go for that pint of Guinness (when not if) PROMISE me you will go anywhere thats not Dublin City. You want a good pint your gonna need to go more rural, preferably the west coast which is where the "Steriotypical Ireland" is
Don't mind NIM Birdie, you will get the most divine pint of Guinness in Davy Byrne's in Dublin City Centre. They also do gorgeous Irish stew with homemade brown bread. My OH is from the West of Ireland and even he concedes that the Guinness tastes nicest in Dublin (and he drinks the stuff, I used to!).
Having said that, for atmosphere, you can't beat Galway city. The place oozes charmTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

For the best hot chocolate, go to Dublin. Butler's are absolutely fantastic, but sadly they don't seem to have spread west. I have in fact been known to fly into Dublin and get the train over just because it means I can get the hot chocolate! But for Ireland as it is in the movies Dublin isn't the place, because it's such a part of the tourist trail I've not found it very friendly in comparison.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I've had a couple in Davys, didnt rate the pint tbh, but I'll concede the stew with the soda bread is fantastic.
Best pint of Guinness I ever had was in dublin, at the brewry, worst pint of Guinness I ever had was also in dublin at a pub less than a mile from the brewry. But I've had many more good pints in the sticks than in the big smoke.
But Galway is one of the more charming parts of the country to be fair. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
