CMD that's amazing news
Awh, I'm all happy for you. With you and Wendz, I won't be able to cope with the baby chatter. I'm annoyingly broody at the moment!
I really hope you manage to make some profit on the house Dinah. It's been a bit of a nightmare, and you've put a lot of work into it regardless. Would be a nice way to end your time with it!0 -

Aw thanks Cinny. Yeah, we are delighted and everytime I have been tired or had a wave of nausea I just keep thinking (and fingers crossed all goes well) I will never have to go through it again. I know my energy will return with gusto in 2nd tri anyway.

Oh I also meant to say. For any of my Facebook friends, can you not mention it on there please. I haven't told many people yet & probably won't be doing so until after Max turns 1. I want him to have his day. Lol!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

It was a 'happy' surprise but I never wanted a huge gap so there will be 18 months between them. We only want 2 children so we can get all the sleepless nights and nappies in 1 go. I have been feeling way better than I did with Max so that has been a relief as I was quite ill with him
Thats fantastic news congratulations! You're going to have your hands full with two under two but I can completely see the logic of getting all the nappies out of the way at the same time.
Does anyone have an interest only morgage? I've been on moneysupermarket this afternoon, and it says we could have an Interest only morgage fixed for 2 years for £71 a month! Surely this is a mistake?! As we plan to keep moving quite often and you don't really pay any capital off in the first few years this could save us an absolute fortune, but I can't help think something is wrong somewhere.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Will be a lovely age gap.

Dinah I totally don't know how to advise you on the mortgage, I'm only at the deposit-saving-might-look-to-buy-in-a-million-years stage
I've been reading the MFW board though and the daily interest is shocking so I am at least determined to get a massive deposit down in the first instance!!

Thanks Dinah. Yeah - will certainly be busy with the 2 of them but friends with a similar age gap have said once baby gets to about 6-7 months they entertain eaach other so that will be good! I can't wait to look after a newborn again. I love that stage when they think they are still part of you and want to be just snuggled in!
Re: the mortgage. Is it possible to keep the same mortgage for different houses if you plan to move around? I thought if you got a fixed mortgage you wouldn't be able to transfer it over to another house and would have to pay an exit fee. I could be wrong but that is my understanding?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks Wendz. I defo will be kept busy!
My sister's baby (who is due on 31st March) is breech at the moment so it looks like she will be booked in for a section if it doesn't turn by 36 weeks (in 2 weeks time). I don't think it will turn at this stage - no room!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
