Ahh of course, it's the 18th!!! I hope they're having a wonderful time.

Her name is Holly CMD, as she came to the cat shelter at Christmas. She's been cooped up in the house for 4 weeks so it's about time she was getting out. But OH is so worried she'll run away! Hope not. What's he going to be like when we have our own teenagers :rotfl:

Wendz that's so exciting, 9 weeks will fly in.

Ah Holly that's right! I should have remembered because my cousin called her baby (born beginning Dec) the same name! She is obsessed with Xmas and even had Xmas songs at her August wedding! I think it is a lovely name - both for a cat and baby. Lol :)

Oh bless, I would have been worried too! Ours is too lazy to go out for more than 5 minutes at a time, so on the rare occasions she goes out for an hour or so i get really worried about her!

Lol the ruins. My dad, like me, is always going on about wanting to make property developing more than a hobby, and I was browsing about the other day and I ended up on rightmove abroad, and you can get the most amazing delapidated farmhouses in Italy for e30,000 (even less in some cases). Now granted these mostly have a roof and walls and thats it, but for a 4 bed farmhouse with balconies, 2 acres, olive groves and views down a valley it's such a bargain its untrue! So NIM is all for packing a tent and going and living a romantic life in a ruins on a hillside somewhere and restore a tumbledown Italian ruins to a dream house.

Our house is finally making a few more steps towards being finished. The upstairs bathroom has achieved the dream of being our first fully finished room. The study just needs the door painting and some touching up, guest room needs about another days work on it putting up some shelves, painting the door and finishing off the wardrobe hole. Downstairs again we're close, master bedroom needs new curtains and a bit of furniture moving, downstairs guest room needs all the ebay stuff which is in it selling, and a curtain pole putting up and again some touching up, kitchen is done save a little touching up, hall just needs a mirror putting up and again touching up, lounge needs the lintel putting on, a bit of plastering, another coat of paint, and a floor. Oooh, and the stove.

To me that list looks tiny now, but I'm aware its a bit of a ramble. We're trying to make a major decision on the finish of the house. We're going to buy solid wood flooring for the lounge to give it a quality finish, but we're trying to decide whether to put it through the two downstairs bedrooms too, or leave it as carpet. What do people think? It'd only cost us abut another £600 to do the other two rooms so not huge money, but would you want solid wood flooring in your bedroom, or prefer carpet? I prefer wood as it's easier to keep clean and dust free and its longer lasting, but I don't want to spend money for a feature people won't actually want.

I saw that too and was intrigued as to NIM's dreams! Sounds like an amazing one really!

Great news on the house being more finished. Personally I like carpet in a bedroom as is a bit warmer but that is my personal opinion.

I went to the babyshow yesterday with my mum and sis and ordered my cot so nearly got all big bits now. Got lots of freebies too which was good!
