I thought I bloody posted, lah! I meant to say tara to Birdie but it's a bit late and pointless now :rotfl:

That's so exciting about giving notice Lara! Eep, August will be lovely for your wedding too :D

It's horrible how little help your Grandad is getting Dinah :( Like you said, every little part helps and at least he's got all your family for support, I doubt he'll go without. But he shouldn't have to struggle. It's just all quite rottenly unfair for him.

    Ah, I'm way behind too!

    Happy happy belated birthday Tete!

And how very very exciting about the wedding, Lara. Are you going back to Uganda again before that? You've got lots sorted!

    Morning all.

Another wild weekend in the Dinah & NIM household. Met with several potential clients yesterday, all of whom made very positive noises.

Then NIMs mother called our landline (we had no idea she had the number) and just said to NIM his granny had collapsed and was unconcious and on her way to hospital. After calling all his relatives we finally got hold of a family friend who said that that was quite old info, granny was concious and awake, a little vague but okay. She has pneumonia and has possibly had a small stroke. NIM was obviously terrified until we found out more info, but its typicall of his mother to try to string him out on a tiny fact to rely on her.

Then we had a call from my mum to say one of my bridesmaids who suffers from depression was possibly being sectioned as she was in a crisis. She hasn't been sectioned but thats not to say she doesn't need it.

The upside of all the crisis was we finally took a few hours off, and spent the evening watching Pete's Dragon, which I thought was a happy film and had both of us a bit weepy!

Sold some tickets to see KT Tunstall last night for what we bought them for, and have another few bits ending tomorrow night which we'll hopefully get bids on. I'd like to get the credit card under £3000 by the end of the month.... not sure thats possible but worth a shot!

Diet project going well. See blog for full updates but I lost 3.6lbs last week, and NIM 7lbs.

Poor NIM! Hope he is OK. My Grandma has a stroke scare this weekend, she is staying with my parents as she has hurt her back and they have health visitors coming to visit everyday. She couldn't use or feel her hand sat so they were worried and sent her to hospital. Thankfully they think was just a trapped nerve. Hope all is OK with NIMs Granny.

Sounds like it was all going on with you this weekend!

Lara - hope you are enjoying planning the wedding, is all very exciting!

I had a nice weekend, bar the scare with my Grandma. Went for lunch sat with my Mum, saw some friends sat night and Sunday went to playcentre with OH's family. He was loving playing with his nieces running round the centre. Good practice for him!

I know, you can see the tumbleweeds!

I've been really good this evening, over 60 things listed on ebay and Amazon, hopefully finally make us some pennies to clear the debt not just tread water.

We've worked out we're doing 29mpg in the car!!! So, new plan, we're selling it already.

Hey thanks for the good wishes everyone. Just up at uni waiting for a scary supervision meeting

I have been sort of enjoying the wedding planning, but it takes so long when we've decided what we want to find someone who can do it for a reasonable price. The figures we are getting quoted all the time are double or triple what we have budgeted. It's a bit frustrating to have to do that for every single thing in the whole wedding. The thing I feel really miffed about is that we are still spending £8k, which I think is soooo much money. Even when we negotiate something that's half the price of the other quotes it STILL feels like a fortune :rotfl: I think I'm just a big scrooge now, MSE for life!! :money: Probably it's more to do with wedding planning in London.

I'm sure it will be worth all the hassle in the end :D

It will be - you remember me being the most anti-bride there could be, and yet I wouldn't change anything about our day.

Lots of lovely ebay sales last night, none of them have actually paid yet though!

Couldn't sleep last night, I got up at midnight again and cleaned the kitchen.
