It has yes, OH is now getting paid for his new job, better money than before and plenty of overtime if he wants it.
Plan now is to try and pay as much debt off over the next 7 months as possible and have some savings in place for while I am on maternity.

Oooh even better, nothing so commercial as football, lets have a hurling team!

Was that supposed to be Curling team, or possibly the more appropriately named Hurling team? Aka the morning sickness shenanigans of Wendz, Flower and CMD ;)

Ooh how I'd love to have just morning sickness, instead of all day sickness!

Okay, bit of a sporadic money update. The new system we used last month of seperating our petrol and food money from other bills worked well. We used mystery shopping and ebay income as spends all month, meaning I am over the moon to have reached the end of the month and not only not be that near the end of the overdraft, but I've moved £150 into the start up account for the new business. Which is vital as we have spent £25 on a payg phone, we need to get a logo designed, company stationary, a lot of people want leaflets, need to pay for our samples etc etc. Granted the basic start up essential costs are coming in at around £3000, so £150 doesn't even touch the sides, but it's all a start! Business Link have also advised me I've underestimated, and they reakon I'll need around £5500 to start up, but I know my supplier well and he told me right at the start he won't ask for money until I get it from whoever buys off me, so it's more flexible than Business Link are used to.

I've whited out my signiture, as any extra money is currently going to the business rather than clearing the debt. Which is a real challenge for me as if I clear it I get a holiday, but I guess it shows where my priorities now lie - less holidays now hopefully more in the long run!

I'm totally on the fence about the car. My logical brain says sell it. If we got something more economical we could be saving at least £100 a month on petrol, plus we would half our debt straight off, which would also bring in an extra £140 a month through not having to pay that back. That's the logical brain. My emotional brain likes the car because it's high up, and safe, and reliable. But economically I guess it's a bit mad and I should try to find something cheaper. I'm just so sick of car hunting!

Hey everyone. Just a quick update from me as I'm on deadline with a freelance piece and really ought to get it done rather than check MSE! Been off week this week with a rotten cold/cough virus, back tomorrow though just in time for that time of the month to kick in this afternoon! Loving the baby news. No money update from me until payday (26th usually but not sure how that'll work this month with that being a Sat ... it's always being a Wed since I started my contract) when I should get the chance to move some money around.

That is good that the money system worked last month. Exciting about having money to go towards business as well, sounds like is all happening now.

Hope you manage to find a new car soon.

    Get better soon Dippy!
