I've got a bit of a phobia of being sick, even when I know I'll feel better after I hold it in, like you Birdie I've managed to largely avoid if for years and years, I'm not sure how well I'd mentally handle the idea of being sick every day.
Inspired by Cinny and Zig (and also the fantastic progress Tete made on her 28 things list) I've wasted this morning making a Day Zero list. I do love a good list but I really should be trying to get some work done.
For the first time in quite a long time I feel like I'm not being pulled under by the weight of stuff which needs doing. I also don't dread logging on the bank account - I know there is enough in there to cover what needs to be covered, and we're being very good about not buying food we don't need (I feel oddly proud the fridge has only about 10 perishables in it, and they're all sensible like butter, apples, bacon, leeks, sweet potatoes and milk), and we're not being very spendy in any other regard. I think my eyes have just opened to the possibilities life would have if we didn't have the debt.
I do feel a bit baffled by how to do my financial forecast, but I'm very determined by the end of this weekend I'll have an up to date business plan and financial forecast in my hand.
I forgot to post after I went to the doctors yesterday, I finally have a diagnosis! As I had started to suspect it's not asthma. The doctor says I have an infection called chondrochondritis or some such thing, basically the tissue around by ribs and chest wall is inflamed making it feel tight. It's no more serious than a bad chest infection or something, it's just a case of keeping warm, dry, taking anti-inflamitories and it should go in 1-3 weeks. I'm about 8 days into that now so I'm hoping to go back to work at the start of next week.
Total extra income made in Feb: £796.82. And it's the shortest month, definately encouraging me to do better in March!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Glad they've figured it out Dinah! When I had my chest infection a year ago it knocked me out completely for a week, I don't know how you're still up and about!
Also really happy you're feeling better about the debt. And well done on the food. I think that's everyones main 'hole' in their budget. If I didn't faff doing the food shop we'd only be spending £25-30 a week, need to tell myself that when I'm reaching for the stripy strips! Congrats on the extra income too! :j0 -

Hoping I will feel like this within the next couple of weeks. Has been really hard with OH not having proper income for a couple of months while he changed jobs. Even now he has money coming in it feels like we are still trying to catch up with ourselves.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Aye I think we've only just caught up from the damage my sick leave caused with my knee, and the wedding and honeymoon. I'm really really incentivised now I can see changes, whereas before I felt like I was running to stand still. I did find putting food and petrol money in another account was the biggest help as I didn't realise how much I was overspending by.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I think going by our budgets and workings out, we will be back on track this time next month. Then we are going to get some money saved so for baby things and materity leave.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0

Ohh CMD maybe it is a girl if you don't have sickness this time. I have had very minimal sickness and am having a girl and my Mum didn't have it with me and my sis. Most people say you usually get more sick with girls though, I think every pregnancy is just different!
I think it is another boy Wendz, although I would love a girl!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Glad they managed to diagnose it Dinah , hope you are feeling better soon.Looks like you have been doing great with the moneymaking too and must be nice to not panic when looking at bank balance.
Dinah and Birdie - you might be lucky ones like me who didn't really get sickness!0 -
My mum never got sickness... nor did my gran... but both were on bed rest for 5 months of their pregnancy, so I guess it's swings and roundabouts!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
