Oooh where are you going on holiday?!

As much as I love Creme Eggs it's just not right that they're in the shops more or less all year now, I miss the days when you got excited because they were in the shops for Easter and you had to eat as many as possible whilst they were in 'season', now I'm not that bothered because they're always available! If things are that tight Cinny I'll send you some Creme Eggs!

My Sister still gets really excited when she see them in the shops, even though they're in for months. Last year, a week before Easter and despite her eating her body weight in them already we went to Asda and she squeeled and flounced off going 'creeeemeeee eeeeggggsss' And that's really lovely, thank you :o But I'll be okay, no doubt my Sis will use coming to see me as an excuse to buy 7 and give me 1 :D

And we're going to Euro Disney 3 weeks on Friday, and go to Brid for a week on the 5th. Then off to Somerset on June 8th :D Our familes have kind of taken pity on us this year and paid for us to go places, we just need to save spending money. Which is really nice of them!

Well if you do need a care package just ask! :) Last year OH's Mum bought him a pack of three Creme Eggs and he ate them all at once just to prove that he could! Crazy boy!

What nice families you have for treating you to your holidays! It's good that you are getting away, it's so important (IMO) to have some time away from home when you first move in together, we found that we kept getting bogged down by every day annoyances like bills and housework that it really meant a lot to go away from it all even just for a night or two to just have fun with each other.

  • A lady my Mum workded with took up knitting for the reason of losing weight as at night she would snack on cake and chocolate. Without trying she lost a few stone over a year.I have bought some knitting needles etc and my Mum is teaching me to knit (its so hard). I will though, keep at it as it will help me to acheive my goal of dropping 70lbs (31.8kgs), I have 64.2lbs (29.1kg) to go.

I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!

    Hi all,

Sounds like your Grandma is being strong Dinah.

The creme egg thing freaks me out as baby is due just before Easter hehe!

MOT and service today. We had to pay for two new tyres , we expected that though and for the steering to be alligned. Could have been worse but unfortunatelythe savings have been attacked. Not doing a very good job at saving for babys arrival!

Dieting or weight views will always be different, I don't think there are many people who have the same view on it 100%. We're all different for different reasons. I'm in the happiness before all else group, but that's because if I didn't force myself to love my body a couple summers ago I have no idea what state I'd be in now. But I still eat healthily and exercise well, just now its because I want to treat my body properly now that I love it. Not my weight.

Completely agree with you Cinny!! I have no idea how much I weigh - to be honest I dont really see the need for knowing how much I weigh to the exact pound. I am a healthy size 10 and probably look like that girl in the picture you showed - I hope people dont consider that to be fat!! I eat fairly well but if I fancy a chocolate bar I'm certainly not going to beat myself up about it.

My OH is about 3 stone overweight. He used to be into rugby so it was all muscle but since a knee injury he hasnt been able to play and its turned to wobble :rotfl: but hes happy so who cares!! I still love him just as he is :D

Talking about knitting/crochet, I heard you're one camp or the other, people rarely can, or enjoy both - is that true?

My sister does both although she does it for work so don't know if she enjoys one more than the other.

Talking of knitting , think my Mum might have taken it up bless her, have overheard my sister telling her where he spare needles etc are at home.

How are you going today Dinah?

I was shown how to knit before Christmas and am knitting a long, wobbly scarf (much like Tete's long, wobbly crocheted one :D). It's long, but I'm still going as I figure it's good practice. And I don't know how to cast off... :rotfl:

Crochet does look like a different world!

Can you just tie a knot?! I don't think it's a case of being in one camp or the other, more that people concentrate on one thing at a time.

    Any news today?
