  • Peaceful is good. I'll light a candle for her tonight so she can carry on walking (striding if she wants!) onward into the shadowlands where she can put herself up at the bar and have a pint or three with our ancestors. I'm sure my da and stepda will be propping up a bar somewhere in the afterlife!
Many hugs to you and your clan as you're the ones left behind, she's at peace now and you guys are left holding the pieces. It's not easy and it may get easier with time but that doesn't help you right now. We all hold you close and know to an extent your pain, we're all here and have wide shoulders if you need. My love and sorrow go to you and yours, may you draw comfort from the ever smiling Moon and from our Lady Brigid who is near about to celebrate her festival. Blessings Dinah and NIM xxx

Dinah I am thinking of you and your family. I am glad she has gone peacefully and I hope your Grandpa is going to be ok, I'm sure he will because he has your wonderful family around him.

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandma, even though it was expected it must still be a sad shock to the system, I hope your Grandad is OK and that NIM's looking after you xxx
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Thanks for all your kind words, means a lot to me.

I've had a few cries but as you say, we knew it was coming.

My brain clearly isn't in the right place atm - NIM emailed me this morning to thank me for preparing his lunch, but telling me instead of putting in soup I've put in a raw fish pie! Yummy.

Got £86 back from the taxman for NIM last year, which all helps.

Oh bless you Dinah! I couldn't help but smile at the thought of NIM opening his lunch box, but you must feel a bit all over the place. It's especially tough before the funeral when you've had a proper chance to grieve and say goodbye - do you know when it is yet?

Good news about the tax rebate though. Has the ebay woman paid for the car yet?

Hope everyone else is well x

No, still no death certificate so can't begin to organise it, looking like it will be the end of next week.

No car payment yet, he swears he is coming up tomorrow... we'll see.
