I think with how flooded places are with cupcake recipe books you really need to make it stand out. If you did something really basic for beginners, complete fool proof stuff and lots of tips and suggestions. That would be pretty fantastic! When I started doing cupcakes a lot of books were over complicated and kind of expected you to know everything already. So many wasted cakes trying to figure it out! I completely agree with what everyone else has said though. If you want anyone to test out your recipes and give you some feedback I would be happy to help. It must be pretty exciting for you!
But bloody hurry up with this venture, I wanna know the full story darnit!
And it's fab news about your Nan and your blood pressure, of course0 -
Hi Dinah,
As I love baking and have 100s of cookery books (lots of cupcakes one), it will be hard to write one which will stand out. But what I really want to see is -and it can be any kind of cookery books- which gives you substitude suggestions such as if you have not enough flour you can use a bit of oat porridge, if you don't have caster sugar, use light brown one etc. My problem is usually that I buy one kind of ingredient for one type of cake and won't have the chance using it up before the expire date. So if you would give suggestions than I would substitude and make sure that I use up what I have before buying something new.
Also lots of baking books are full of cakes I would never bake, it's either too complicated to make or takes too long or cost too much, would be nice to have one where let's say I know I will try at least 25 out of 50-honestly I try usually 3 out of a whole book. Hope this helps.0 -
