Everyone assumes that muffinmaker was rude in the store, this is not the impression I got.
But whatever peoples opinions are on this matter there's no need to bully people when they come here for advice.
It looks like she's getting a refund and it doesn't matter if it's a so called good will gesture or whatever, as long as she gets it
Bullied? Certainly didn't see any of that, what did stick out for me on this thread was sweeping generalisations and bigotry, all coming from the OP.0 -

Would anyone who still thinks that Muffinmaker was legally entitled to a refund please post a link to any law, legislation, consumer advice website, trading standards or consumer direct showing proof of this entitlement.
One little link is all that is required to back up their statement.
Stating something is easy. Backing it up with proof is not always so easy.0 -

Or how about a link to say she's not, remember these facts though:
She did have the original receipt
She was not given a new one with the exchange.
The manager didn't try very hard to go through the records of returns.0
