Has anyone tried Tesco's iSold??

  • Yes people have sold through iSold :)

    We have a high conversion rate for the current market, 33%, compared to one of the biggest in the UK market of 14%. This should be a good selling point on it's own, as well as the fee and clubcard points.

    I would also say communication is good, we regularly call back our clients and our applicants, pro-actively looking for offers.

    In Bristol, we are currently the 3rd highest lister on Rightmove out of 150 agents.

    I don't think this will destroy the EA business, just change the face of it.

    Evidently iSold did lose their voice, as their Managing Director's post was the one immediately prior to mine at 24-10-2010, 4:53 PM (currently #20), and that's now been deleted. I quoted them, and that quote has also disappeared, so, from google's cache;

    QUOTE
    "We offer all the usual services you would expect from a high street agent however we have the ability to expose homes for sale to a vast audience thanks to our unique partnership with Tesco .....

    iSold has recently won many awards for the proactive service we offer and for how we market homes for sale. Furthermore, we already have many satisfied customers who have sold their homes quickly and ....."

    Bristol_999's post introduces some more claims, but fails to answer the questions in #20......

    The MD described iSold as 'recently won many awards' - WHICH awards has it won, and when did it win them? Do I need to repeat the other two questions.....?

    What do you mean by 'conversion rate'? It doesn't appear on your website, so evidently someone doesn't think of it as a selling point....

    Conversion rate of what?? Viewings to offers, Offers to sales, Valuations to instructions??

    You need to expand on this if you wish to use this as proof of your success.......
    My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)
    Ignore......check!

    I have to share this, from Spicerhaart's website;

    "Please click any of the links below to view the relative contact information:" (relevant, not relative....)

    and one of links below is for "Valunation" .....

    Instructions to Sales?

    Possibly so and that is the best indicator of performance but his post was not detailed enough.

    I am also genuinely interested in which "awards" they have won too.

    What's that you say, Bristol_999? Lost your voice?
  • Conversion rate is from instructions to sales.

    "Valunation" is correct, it is a valuation part of the group. "Relative" should be "relevant" as you state.

    I will enquire about what awards iSold has won. I am not in a position to be able to answer the other questions, the conversion rate was offered in lieu of not knowing the actual number of properties and as far as I know iSold has gained its business without affecting the current business of Spicerhaart.

    Hang on a minute, let me get this right, you are going around quoting all these "awards" you've won and presumably using this in your sales pitch but you don't know what the "awards" are for??

    I imagine this supposed conversion rate is is incorrect too?

    So, for every 10 instructions you've taken, you've sold 3.3? Over what period? Does that mean that around 7 out of 10 of your instructions have gone UNSold?

    OK, I see 'Valunation' is a trade name, not a typo.

    You're a Valuation Manager and you don't know what awards the MD is claiming that you've won, nor who awarded them to you, nor when they were won....?
