Has anyone tried Tesco's iSold??

Do Isold houses go on Right Move? If not it is hard to see how it can succeed.0

£999 sounds quite expensive for an internet estate agency - if that's the route you want to go down, why not see what others are around in your area?0

I'm a VM in iSold with estates and letting experience. They run a training programme for graduates.
The £999 is only payable on completion. This is not just an online agency as there are negotiators for each of the area to get feedback and work on offers.
It launched earlier in 2010 and there are VMs for all of the areas listed above. If a board has not arrived - an occasional issue with the contractors - a call to the office can sort this out.
This is a "proper" estate agency associated with Tesco rather than run by them.
There is a service agreement in place so that all clients are contacted every 1-2 weeks with updates and all buyers are qualified.
The market is a bit slow for everyone at the moment and asking prices are being hiked up by some agents on rightmove (over a 3% increase this month) in order to get more buyers on their books. If you expect too high a price for your house it will not sell.
I hope this clears up some of the confusion about iSold Estate Agency.0 -

Not according to your website you haven't .... I tried a couple of the highlighted locations on the map and it said your service wasn't available there yet..... and the recruitment page says you need VMs in the other areas.
What would you say your main selling point is, apart from 5000 Clubcard points and a low fee?
Oh, and you could clear up some 'confusion' with a 'from the horse's mouth' answer - has anyone SOLD through iSold? That's what the OP asked.0 -
So, translated that means: I'm alone here, I'm just a boy in a shed with an idea about an online estate agency, but my dad knew some big cheese in Tesco so we got a contract. I copied some stuff off other websites so I seem bigger (by suggesting there's a graduate programme).... and you caught me out now. I have 6 houses for sale - and my mate Bob's not made the signs yet because his JSA cheque was held up so he couldn't buy the materials.0

Just had a look, don't like it.0

I joined up to Tesco about 3 years ago when they were about £200 I think. I did so because, at the time, I got the impression that they were abotu to launch big time into the EA market, have loads of adverts on the TV, etc, but there was basically nothing.
To be fair to Tesco, they gave me my money back and, shortly afterwards, they got out of the EA game for a while. I seem to recall some conflict between them and EAs generally and something to do with Rightmove I think. Can't recall now.
Anyhow, I think within a few years most house sales will be done by online sites linked to the likes of M&S. Imagine the smug appeal of selling your house via, and paying for the priviledge, the M&S website. I can see the snob appeal now - Waitrose, M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco, etc - reckon they will all be in it in a few years.
It will destroy the EA businesses IMPO - long overdue IMPO.This is not financial nor legal nor property advice. Consult a paid professional if in doubt.0 -
Apart from the portals you mentioned how does the partnership with Tesco give you a 'vast audience'? Why is it any more vast than other agents who advertise on the same portals?
Which awards have you won, and when did you win them?
How many properties have been sold since you launched? Since the iSold/Tesco partnership is with Spicerhaart, who were already in business before the partnership, is the number of properties sold appreciably more than would have been routinely sold by Spicerhaart without the iSold/Tesco partnership?0 -
What's that you say, iSold? Lost your voice?0
