It doesn't seem very fair to say it starts at 6 am, showing a big countdown and everything, and then it starts 2 1/2 hours early????
Having said that, I did get up at 5am last time and got several £9 family rooms.
Sorry, but a family can sometimes just be two people (mum and daughter eg?) who just don't want to sleep in the same bed. If you only book a double, you have to.
Maye Travelodge should take note and put more family rooms in the hotels, in the first place.
Another thing to watch is their delightful 10p-per-minute phone charge, when you have to ring them for any reason! :eek:There's no alternative number I could find
(I had some rooms booked at an Innkeepers lodge which has now become a Travelodge, and needed to cancel them. Unfortunately because they weren't on my travelodge account, I couldn't cancel them online and had to ring them ARGGGHH)
Ive had success with this number 01844 358500 in the past...each lodge usually has its own geographical number on saynoto0870Couponing....."every little hurts"

If you want the best rooms you have to get in there early, you cant rock up hours later and expect a room to be there waiting for you to buy it, 1st come 1st served, I stayed up all night refreshing all night as i know these sales usually start earlier than advertised.
I don't class 4:30, 1.5 hours before the start time as rocking up hours later. Why should people stay up all night and not be able to go to work when the sale is meant to start at 6am anyway.
I wasn't complaining about not getting rooms, I got them, was just making a comment that I thought it's a bit sad for someone to book a family room so they can have a bigger chair !0 -

It was me you were having a go at....We usually book for 5 days or more, and not having somewhere to sit, except on a bed, gets quite uncomfortable, if the weather keeps you in for any length of time....these smaller rooms often only come with a shower, and as we only have a shower room at home, a bath is a welcome luxury at times.....so yes i do try to get the most out of my stay.....but then I may lose out on certain destinations, due to my room choice not being available......but i do take your point.Couponing....."every little hurts"
