Thanks for the info, I`m going to the Micklegate one in December.
I`ve stayed at York central before and that`s ok and it has a Wetherspoons joined onto it.
I believe TL central do cheap rate parking nearby for their guests.
Thanks for the help, any idea how muchga Weatherspoons breakfast is?
Central York do brekkie bags and they sound horrid0 -

A wetherspoons breakfast is from about £1.50 for a bacon butty & a drink to about £4 for the works, there is a wetherspoons within about 5 minutes walk of the travelodge in york0 -
I can still find some 9 pound rooms in the search but when I click on them the price changes to 19,50. The same goes for most 12,50 and 15,00 rooms.:(
Does that just happen to me or has anyone else had that?
no its happening to me as well spotted a saturday in edinburgh in jan at £9 but when I clicked on it there was only £29 saver rooms
same happened at manchester airport £12.50 became £290 -
I'm getting exactly the same thing!! Price says £9 or even £12.50, I click and it's shot up to about £30!

Argh - did this too!!! Didn't even realise until I read your post as they don't make it obvious so you even think to change it!!!! And no option to amend on the "Amend my Booking" page!Hi this happened to me when I booked my 2 nights one has got 1 person and the other for 2, I tried to amend but it wouldnt let me do that bit only the date/room change. I have just phoned the travelodge and they said to phone a few days before you go and let them know, cos even though the room is a double it says on the website that they set it out for 1 person (ie. 1 pillow etc) and by the way there is no extra charge as you pay for room only.
HTH
Thanks cally120!!0 -

No it doesnt matter, if it IS a double room youve booked....I always book for 2 adults and 1 child, even though theres never a child.....that way you get a room with sofa bed instead of a (sometimes) single chair...and avoids getting a smaller room..Couponing....."every little hurts"

from memory, no York lodges have free parking...could cost you an extra £6 a day...Couponing....."every little hurts"

We're off to London Docklands, (me, Mrs Begley and The Child), on 2nd of Jan for 22 quid! Booked train tickets too, only £19.70 with the family railcard. We're really chuffed! Just had a look and it's usually 90 odd quid for a family room. Bargain!
We stayed here a few years ago on the £7 deal....£56 for 8 nights....left car in car park for duration and used saver ticket on trains.....lodge is just yards before congestion area begins...Couponing....."every little hurts"

This offer is a fraud. All the £9 rooms shown on the overview pages turn out to be at least £15 when you select any of them - this was true yesterday evening and today.
You cannot contact anybody at Travelodge to correct it or book.0
