Which York travel lodge is better...York Central Mickelgate or York Central? What about parking??
    Thanks

Have a look on tripadvisor, that's what I do, I suggest you do some research to find out your requirements

I've managed to get London Feb Half Term, 2 double rooms for just under £250 for fri, sat and sun. I'm very pleased with this but it was a bit tedious getting this price.

Go through site, search one date only otherwise the price jumps significantly.

I've had to do seperate bookings for each date, click save then back again, search date, place, click price and book.

When I had all three dates I then paid and then went through the whole process again in order to get the best price for the two rooms.

When I put say a 3 day stay the price jumped to £89.00 per night rather than seperately, £35, £55 etc.

Hope that helps you get a better price.

Tadcaster is a good TL for York. It is five mins drive from the McArthur Glen shopping centre and park and ride. I don't think the central York TL's have parking.

TL are such a con nowadays though - there used to be loads of Sale rooms available, whereas now I think they advertise loads but in reality there aren't that many. Click on the green £9 rate and when it goes through to book it's £22, £55 etc. Also, when has it ever been £80 to stay in a TL by a motorway? The prices have really gone up in the last couple of years.

Good deal if you can get a room, but a bit of an advertising con imo.
  • I got 3 nights in Leeds for £27 in december, and 3 nights in Edinburgh at half term for £58.50 - very happy!

Quick question... does it matter if u book for one adult to stay in double room then two turn up? (I didn't amend the button it automatically defaulted to one adult when I ask for two) - will I be charged extra?

Hi this happened to me when I booked my 2 nights one has got 1 person and the other for 2, I tried to amend but it wouldnt let me do that bit only the date/room change. I have just phoned the travelodge and they said to phone a few days before you go and let them know, cos even though the room is a double it says on the website that they set it out for 1 person (ie. 1 pillow etc) and by the way there is no extra charge as you pay for room only.

Has anybody had the confirmation yet? I had booked 2 nights at cambridge last week of Dec but no confirmation and when I go to my travelodhe, there is nothing there.
Hopefully it is a temporary thing!!!
