I booked york 11th March it cost £47 for 2 nights, still a bargain, as that hotel is usually about £80 per night.0 -

Thanks
I have stayed in the micklegate one a couple of times before it changed to Travelodge, lovely hotel, although can be a little noisy with people walking about because it is all wood floors, but it has one of the nicest bathrooms I;ve seen in hotels, we've just booked this one for March, it is close to the bars and shops which is what we want so no taxis or walking around late at night.0 -

Thanks for the info, I`m going to the Micklegate one in December.
I`ve stayed at York central before and that`s ok and it has a Wetherspoons joined onto it.
I believe TL central do cheap rate parking nearby for their guests.0 -
Managed to get a night in Cambridge Central for £19.50 in December, which is awesome because it was orignally £55! Very pleased indeed

We're off to London Docklands, (me, Mrs Begley and The Child), on 2nd of Jan for 22 quid! Booked train tickets too, only £19.70 with the family railcard. We're really chuffed! Just had a look and it's usually 90 odd quid for a family room. Bargain!0

I find £9 rooms but as soon as i add an extra person it shoots up to £19.50
Should I just sneak another person in or pay the extra tenner. More than it costs to get another room?£11,000 in 2011 = £71.740 -

Suppose it depends on the type of room it's giving you, if it's a double I would just take the £9 offer but I probably wouldn't try and sneak someone in to a single room if they even do them ?0 -
I can still find some 9 pound rooms in the search but when I click on them the price changes to 19,50. The same goes for most 12,50 and 15,00 rooms.:(
Does that just happen to me or has anyone else had that?0 -
I`d been trying for Covent Garden and York - absolutely no joy but then again so very popular. It says the price but once you click on it, that`s the last you see of it.
Tried Scarborough and got 4 nights in December for £60. We once spent a week there in January so know what to expect. It gets terrible reviews on Trip Advisor, however for £15 a night we won`t be complaining.0
