So much for the 11 o'clock start time and lots of stock. I have now placed my order but as the Mexx was sold out by about 1030, picked another style and paid an additional £10.:mad:Born and bred in Manchester (proud of it)

Hi there,
I've checked what happened with those Mexx frames. They were in our 'Crazy deals of the Day' which changes regularly throughout the week. I've asked for the Mexx 5353 and Lindberg Maginus frames mentioned to be put back into crazy deals today.
There was no intention to deceive, and that range changes regularly so it will be worth checking back during the period that the voucher is active to see what new frames are available in the 'crazy deals' category. Currently there are other Lindberg and Benetton frames in that category all with £40 off, and the Mexx & Lindberg frames mentioned will be back in there very soon.
I hope that helps explain what happened.
Hi GD Com Rep,
Firstly, thanks for looking in to my query regarding the 'J Lindeberg 10's' (the only suitably 'large' fitting pair I identified in the previously advertised '2 for £49' offer).
I sent your updated information to your online sales Rep but have just received this reply:
I can confirm that the black Maguns have now been discontinued - we do not currently have a date for when the brown are comming back, with regard to the pricing we can not confirm if the sale price will still be valid when they come back into stock as the sales prices are subject to availbilty.
Can you please advise?0 -

I'm so sorry, this does seem to be the case for that frame. I've asked the product & buying team to check with the suppliers if there are any more of these available.
I'd like to get someone in touch with you to help you find a pair of bigger frames on the site that you'd be happy with. I'll have to ask one of the moderators to put us in touch as I can't message you directly.“Official Company Representative

Hi, I don't suppose anyone could tell me if it's worth upgrading the lenses? Thanks for any advice.

How do you get a refund? I have sent complaint emails to Groupon and Glasses Direct because of the price increases.

I bought my voucher on Wednesday in good faith that i would be able to buy the red benneton frames for £59. Now they are £99.
FYI this is what i sent GD:
Good morning
On Wednesday Martins Money Saving Tips advertised a Groupon offer where you can purchase a voucher worth £52.95 for £19. After browsing the site on Wednesday, I was pleased to find two frames that fall under the buy one get on free offer that I would like, so I purchased the voucher. They were the £59 United Colours of Benneton red and blue frames.
This morning I log on to choose my glasses before the voucher is valid at 11am and I am shocked to find only a fraction of the glasses on your website that were on offer on Wednesday.
Can you please explain why this is so? The cheapest pair you now have under the buy one get one free offer is £60, what happened to the abundance of £49 pairs?!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
And their response:
The Benneton frames were on at a special offer price, but this offer ended as the Groupon one began. We do have lots of other frames on display for £59 or less to choose from.
Kind regards
David
So i emailed Groupon with this:
Good afternoon
I am writing regarding the email below. I paid for the voucher in good faith that that glasses that I saw on Wednesday would be available at the price of £59.
In light of what has happened with Glasses Direct changing their prices just as the Groupon deal activates, I request that I have my money back.
Please can you advise me whether you can refund me £19 that I paid you.
Yours sincerely
