I'm pretty certain that I have left my work PC on with that page on my desktop, showing the price of the Mexx glasses at £49. Do you think it would help if I issued the screenshot on these boards?
I'm a bit gutted as I had my heart set on a pair of those specs and I even badgered my friends to sign up to the scheme.
I hope GD can relist them and make us all happy again.

MSE informed everyone that it is against the terms of business between Groupon & the retailer for the retailer to put their prices up.
A screen shot would certainly prove your point & you may get what you want but at the end of the day the terms between Groupon & Retailer has legally nothing to do with you.
Your terms are with Groupon & then the retailer when & only if you buy.Not Again0 -
Dear, glassesdirect company representative,
Last night, when i saw this offer on MSE i decided to have a look at the frames on offer for £49, with buy 1 get 1 free, one design that i saw i liked (Mexx 5353).
Having made sure there was a frame i liked and it was in the correct price range so it would only cost me the cost of the voucher (£19), i went ahead and bought the voucher.
Tonight i notice that the Mexx 5353 has increased in price by 100% to £99, meaning it would now cost me approx £70 for the pair (+250% more than yesterday).
I am VERY disappointed with this as my budget will not stretch that far and the frames remaining in the £49 price range i do not like and do not trust that the prices will not change again.
Await your advice, Tom
I've had a similar experience. I first went to the GD site to a find suitably large pair/pairs. Having identified some (J Lindeberg Magnius) in the '2 for £49' deal in stock I went ahead and paid for the Groupon voucher. I then went back to the GD site, placed the two pairs in my basket, added my prescription and bookmarked the page ready to purchase on receipt of the voucher.
Tonight I note the glasses I chose are now out of stock.
As I have a limited budget and require larger sized specs, the original deal that I thought I was going to get represented great value but not now.
Is it possible to get a refund on the voucher (not received as of yet) if these particular specs are not going to be re-stocked?0 -

I can assure you 100% that none of our prices increased last time we did a similar deal.
As for the change in Mexx frames, I'm afraid I don't know about that, but I'll find out for you what's happened there and get back to you tomorrow morning.“Official Company Representative

MSE & Groupon are both fully aware of previous issues.
Yet it keeps happening.
Last time MSE had screenshots of prior prices but that was not a glasses direct offer it was sunglasses shop.
Thanks for clarifying and for correcting me."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

No problem.
The issue is retailers are frequently putting up prices & withdrawing items from sale after people have bought the voucher codes from Groupon. Not Again0 -
Trouble with the site already. I have received my voucher, eye test booked at ten and was going to get my basket ready for when I get back but I keep getting error pages!July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0

Many thanks for your reply, we await a resolution to our query (ref. Mexx frames).

but I haven't had my eyes tested recently enough and do not know my current prescription. So is there an alternative to going to an optician before the Groupon deal ends? Also when I have my prescription how do I inform Groupon about it?
Hi Welshmike – this is Ellie from Groupon!
The deal is for money off the glasses so you would need to be aware of your prescription first. If you have not had an eye test in a while, don’t worry! The voucher is valid for 1 month, so you have plenty of time. When you make your order you will be asked to enter your prescription online!
Please visit the Glasses Direct’s FAQ page for further information
I hope this helps!“Official Company Representative

Did you find the answer to the Mexx frame price increase? I too went for this offer on the basis that these frames were available for £49 2for1 and your company had mentioned (via MSE) that there was good stock of everything. From previous experience I was half expecting them to go out of stock for the period of the promotion but a 100% price increase is worse.0
