Everything at Tesco seems to be going up in leaps and bounds but I always start my shop in the half/price bogof section and then build the rest of the shop around it.

The quality of Sainsburys food is much better but I can't afford to shop there unless it's yellow stickered so that's what I tend to do!

I did shop at Asda for a while and found the quality of thier own brand stuff wasn't brilliant but they're definitely good for branded goods.
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

Yes another one for Lidl Aldi Heron and Pound shops.
Sains hardly ever unless voucher and almost never for Tesco because, too big, too tricky.
  • Hi all,
just wanted to add my opinion to the expensive chat about tesco being too expensive. ..
I am an existing membr of staff and i find it way too expensive even with a 10% discount card . I have noticed at the tills that some customers get special offers like £6 of a £40 shop etc etc but as a membr of staff we dont get these which really makes our discount card pointless and tesco know this which is why a lot of staff are now shopping elsewhere..
I shopped in Aldi on way home from work last friday in my tesco uniform and was stopped by the manager of that store and questioned by him for a good 10 minutes as to why i shop there instead of my employers shops.
He couldnt stop smiling knowing that even staff are not spending their salary at the company they work for...
Last note to add I EVEN INSURE MY CAR WITH ASDA because they were £175 cheaper.......

    WAKE UP TESCO.

In all honesty I'm surprised. I miss the 10% discount used it and stocked up all the more when the 20% came along.
I'm still using some of the items I 'stocked up on' because of the low prices two months ago.
I'm surprised too you've never had the till spits - though at the moment it's more about the Fuel save rather than conditional spend promotions.
I've been doing more shopping in Sainsburys recently - but that's only because they sent me £8.00 off with a £40.00 spend, though I had to work hard to make sure that was worth it - compared with Tesco pricing.
Next will either be Morrisons £4.00 off £40.00, or Farmfoods £5.00 off £25.00.
Morrisons & Tescos are the best for any date reductions - I've never seen them at Lidl/Aldi.
If I didn't have any conditional spend vouchers, it would either be Tesco or Maybe Morrisons (love they Cafes too), Lidls no never find enough to buy.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

Yes we started to find Tesco increasingly expensive. Cost a fortune to fill the freezer.

We now do that in Iceland and everything else from Tesco. 6 months on we're saving £5 per month and getting loads more for the same money.

Currently looking at taking more business away from Tesco and going to Lidl. No car so will cost £4 total for 2xbus there & back, not sure if that one will work economically or practically, but going to try at some point.
