How did you manage that? ;)
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)
  • so they let you have a 450 quid phone, for £232? That's pretty hard to believe

It is quite hard to believe, but I am not sure why someone would lie about it. It's not going to cost Three £450 quid, but even still it looks like it would be a loss leader for them...

I've decided to get it as a sim free handset and it's nearly 3 years since my last phone and I have a deal on my credit card of 0% interest until June 2011.

At the moment I've been told roughly 12 days with mobilephones direct, but I'm not so sure reckon it might be nearer a month.

Really looking forward to getting the phone, but the only thing that concerns me is the size of the phone. For years I've been a fan of smaller mobiles, but nowadays with them being much more than just a phone, I'm coming round to the idea that bigger is better.

    Basically,

3 years ago..someone in 3 costumer care offered me a deal on n95 for 14gbp (anytime 500min+100texts+2000landmins).... after few days i cancelled the land mins and my tariff was reduced to 4 gbp.... so I was carrying on on that with new phone free of cost every 12 months...

So basically they continued... the same tariff as they could not increase it...
Also last yr I was paying £5 for internet..fortunately they gave 2GB internet free this time..
And not to forget...HTC DESIRE HD for a fee of 160GBP...

So I feel everyone should just cancel at the end of contract and wait till last 2-3days..usually u get the best offer on this earth...

    Thanks

The only downside is that as you are with 3 you won't get a phone signal :-) Nice pocket ornament though :-)

The only downside is that cancelling a mobile phone contract is more stressful than swimming across crocodile infested waters

You don't hear from the company for 2 years and the moment you ring up to cancel they ring you 3 times a day, and for some reason they don't accept 'I don't need a contract mobile phone' as an answer.

Personally I find it hard to beat O2s 100 anytime minutes and unlimited texts for a tenner on PAYG. You are not locked in for 2 years and I would find it difficult to use 20,000 (unlimited) texts a month.

If only I could get O2 for 4 pounds a month - damn good deal that.
