    Thanks for your reply robnye

I have cleaned up all unecessary files

Have also, (just in case but needed to do it anyway really!)

    Run:
    Adaware
    Spybot
    DiskCleanUp
    Virus Scan
    DeFrag

And things are still the same........:(

  • Yesterday and this morning was a major problem for me, so slow loading it just stopped. Now it is fast, really whizzing it is, great stuff.
I am on dial up with Wanadoo.

I'm on Wanadoo Broadband and yesterday was hopeless - as has been excellently described by many other posters on this thread. Not loading at all, or just seeing top banner but white page beneath, counter bars freezing at about half way, unable to get into chat forums (although the home page was okay). On rare occasions getting into forums list, but unable to open threads except in new window, and unable to reply - hanging for up to 5 mins, mostly freezing and failing but once or twice posting, which felt like a small miracle. I was trying between about 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. - it got marginally better the last hour but rubbish all day really.

Today - a different story altogether. Didn't log on until about 1.30, and everything is going really well.

Hoping for a more reliable connection over the weekend! Thanks for all your efforts.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Huge improvement over the last half-hour and the main forum list page is loading much quicker, but still some slowness in opening individual threads.

Thanks for everyones help in getting this sorted out :D

We should have contingency plans in place.

Join up with those that can access and those that can't and ask those that can to paste what we're missing :D

Many thanks Webby, whichever plug you just changed seemed to have solved it here.

  • I've just been browsing and replying to messages for the last hour now with no problem whatsoever, if anything it's quicker than it used to be, so I'm a happy bunny again now :D

Sorry your still having problems Allexie but I'm sure they'll get it all sorted fairly soon :)
