I'm on broadband and am not having any problems with any other sites...just this one since the new server!!! Doesn't seem to be getting any better... This is my fourth attempt to post this....will there be a fifth?:mad:

you could try clearing out your internet explorer temp files.....

Hi guys,

Apologies to those who are having the connectivity/slowness problems. This seems to happening to a minority and we're trying to figure out; why you?

It would be helpful to us if those of you having problems could let us know the following:

1. Are you on dial-up or broadband?

2. Who is your ISP?

3. Are you experiencing problems 24/7? Only during peak times? Was it bad yesterday and got better today. Was it OK yesterday and went bad today? Times may be helpful.

Hopefully we can sort this out ASAP.

Hi Webby and thanks for coming to the rescue. I'd have replied before now but couldn't

1) Dial-up

2) Wanadoo (but can't see that being a problem, I'm whizzing around other sites)

3) I've managed to post about 4 posts and viewed the forum as a whole for about 15 minutes today. Can't say when it started today, but today's been the worst day. Nearly as bad yesterday but before the site went off for maintenance last night, things sped through for about an hour, maybe two. Might get a better idea by checking when I posted last night?

Hope that helps but Webby? Can you put the mail link to you in the next post please because I'm sure there'll be a few people reading this from mail alerts that can't get here to answer your post. See the quandry? Then they can mail you directly from their mail.

It's not about cleaning out anything pc wise because I did all that earlier. It's just 'hanging' and all I can see, and maybe others, is the banner at the top and that's about it.

Webby? When I sent that last post, it took about 2 or 3 minutes to send, but until it did send, it 'froze' the pc. Couldn't scroll up, down, or get off the site. (Which is a bit unusual considering we couldn't get on earlier )

Just thought I'd better mention it though.

I'm on broadband too (Wanadoo) and I don't use Internet Explorer (I prefer Firefox) ... is anyone else having problems with Firefox?


I couldn't get on at all yesterday, even to read any messages, and today I've only managed to connect maybe half a dozen times and then it usually hangs if I try to do anything or open any threads. It's been the same no matter what time I try to connect, from around 8am this morning, and between 8am and midnight-ish yesterday.

Yesterday I couldn't even access the main web-site although that seems to be working better today, albeit sporadically.

I'm frustrated!!!!!!!

BTW none of the smileys work if you click on them either

Relieved to know you are aware of the problems. Answers to your questions:-

3. Could not get into the site at all yesterday. Today, managed to get in a couple of times but with great difficulty. When I do get in mostly pages just hang with Martin's pic at the top and acres of white space underneath!
