    Thank you x

Have been talking myself through it (I know that's sad) and if the other times I've done it are anything to go by then:

I'll find leaving hard, saying goodbye to OH etc

Once I'm on the plane I'll be less sad and more bored!

I will find the first few days feeling a bit lost and awkward whilst I'm getting to know people and training so I know how to work on the project

I'll get into the swing of it, fall in love with the place, make great friends and the time will go by in seconds

I'll cry my eyes out when I leave and not want to come home

Back to the boredom on the plane part

I'll be really happy to be home and see OH etc

I'll feel a bit odd for a few days while I'm settling back into home and spend ages looking at my photos and stuff

I'll be settled at home again and then start thinking about where I can go next!

Put like that, I shouldn't be scared! :D

I think that is a very accurate description of how you will feel, no need to be scared at all :)

I am a little envious of you to be honest Beccie! Not that i would have done it any differently of couse, but having my children so very young meant there was no time for such adventures. I will have to live vicariously through you! (and would love to see your pics someday) Have you got lots from the other trips?

What a lovely thread to gatecrash! :hello:

You're doing really well ploughing your pennies into your debts and I am so excited for you and your trip - both of which require bravery and guts (one would usually say b*lls but I don't feel like I know you well enough yet! :rotfl:)

    Good luck!

  • 17 days!! WOW!

I was reading through your post about how you would feel about your trip and I can relate to it soooooo much. I would be exactly the same.

Just think in 20 or so days you will be having the time of your life.

Then when you are back you will have so many lovely memories to share and think about.

    x :)

It's my little way of motivating myself to lessen my debts! Each square represents £50 (yes I have a huge sum of debts :o) and each time I pay the equivalent amount off I get to colour my squares in pretty colours :D

It's the small things in life that keep me going :rotfl:

It does help though to see how I'm getting on in physical form.
