So annoyed!
Have been arranging a surprise retirement party for my boss and it was all coming together nicely - had managed to invite everyone, book a place and arrange getting him there without him finding out and then...someone told him!
What part of surprise party and don't tell him did they not understand?!

I am very annoyed with them! Hoping my boss still appreciates the effort and hopefully he'll have a nice time anyway.
I'm much more cheerful today!
Plenty of sleep last night for a change which definitely helps.
And I booked a trip last night for while I'm in Borneo! Feel a bit guilty as it is £175 but I've taken it from the Borneo savings and I suppose that is what they were meant for. Will still try and top those back up by the end of the month, and I still have the £165 to come across from ING.
I'm going to spend a couple of days on Turtle Island. Will hopefully get to see turtles laying their eggs on the beach at night and see the hatchery and if any hatch while I'm there I get to help release them into the sea. Sounds amazing!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
That sounds awesome Becs, and is surely worth every penny!
I can't believe how quickly it is coming round now, I still remember trying to talk you out of it :rotfl:.

It does sound great - also time to go snorkelling as well I've just found out, should be a nice couple of days.
Decided that seeing as I'm spending all this money in the first place, I might as well spend that little bit more, as I may never go there again. That was my excuse for spending a week (and a small fortune:o) in Vic Falls the last time I went to Zim and I don't regret that so hopefully this will be the same!
25 days to go!!!!
I still remember that too (and to be honest, there were moments when I wished people had) but in the end despite the cost and the slow to debt-busting I think overall it wasn't a bad idea, and I am getting VERY excited!!!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
It sounds so awesome Beccie, I would love to see the turtles and the orangutans...I would just love to help out in a orangutan santuary, especially all the baby ones climbing on you with nappies on
Make sure you take plenty of photos, I'm sure we'll all be terribly jealous
What date do you come back then? Not that I'm wishing your trip away!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Can only take photos in the last week (different to the other projects I've been too) but I'll make sure to take a LOT in that week!
I'm back on the 10th April which is a Sunday and straight back to work on Monday 11th - not looking forward to that - 22 hour journey back to get home early Sunday evening, 8 hour time difference to get over, back to work straight away after 2 months off and it's my birthday! That will be a depressing day!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0
