Hi Amber
Currently planning what we're going to do once I receive my redundancy money in Dec. OH is not convinced on cycling to Australia unfortunately, thinks we'll die  So looking like a years travelling round South America and SE Asia before going to start work in Namibia
Sorry, not been around much at the moment. Am taking over a new job at the moment which I think is going to be very interesting although frighteningly busy! Unfortunately while taking it over I've had to do a 2 hour commute each way making the days pretty long at the moment. Luckily only the rest of this week and next week to go and I'll be back to being in my usual workplace.
Then I MUST do a money update - it's long overdue and not looking goodDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
That commute sounds hellish Beccie! At least it's not for long. Is it worth looking to stay at a B&B next week? Might work out the same kind of money as paying for all that extra petrol and would be a lot less stress.
Your travel plans sound brill, I'm sure that wherever you choose to go it'll be amazing!
I never commented on your last trip update (ooop!) but it sounds absolutely fantastic, what an experience to be part of! A real story for the grandkids!
Maybe not the blisters though! _pale_

Unfortuntately we're on massive cost-saving measures so are not allowed to stay overnight unless absolutely necessary. My train fare is paid for me though and on the bright-side I've been able to read a lot
I've actually got photos of the blisters that I've been showing peopleDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Well that's really crummy! I thought my company was tight but if we have to go any further than an hour and a half we get the option of staying over! At least it's on the train and not driving; I'd quite like the excuse to fit in an extra 4 hours of reading a day, although I'm sure it'd get fairly old fairly quickly!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Wow, I cannot believe it's been so long since I updated
Hi Jody  and anyone else who might still be here..........
Well biggest news since I was last here (still can't believe it was June) is that I am now debt-free :j:j:jAnd have been since the 1st Nov
One of the biggest things that helped me finish off after having really slowed to a crawl was my new job which I have been in since June/July. The over-time available has been equivalent to a 9K payriseUnfortunately all that overtime has meant that I barely get a minute for things like MSE
I do love the job though!
Although in 2 weeks it will be my last working day  and in 43 days I will be on a plane to Rio :jI don't get my redundancy till the end of the year however one of the perks (one of the many) of my debt-freeness has been the amount I have been able to save so I have booked lots of flights and paid for jabs and visas and all sorts that I didn't think I'd be able to do
Next years plans have come together now and will see us going to Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, the USA, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal and India returning in May 2015. Can't quite believe it really
Hope everyone here is still good, sorry I've been gone so long, will try and catch up with you all and Jody, I will send you my email address xxDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

Well done you on getting debt free! Your travels sound AMAZING, I am so deeply jealous....we talked about doing the far east for a few months but unless I get made redundant I can't see it happening as work won't allow me the time off
