I have decided to go back to Africa in May for 2 months. I will be taking part in a 1500km walk from Namibia, through Botswana and ending in Zambia. This is to raise funds for my friends charity over there, making stops in schools and villages to make presentations etc.

Debating whether to end my diary or not - I feel a bit of a fraud in diary-world now :o

I think you should feel very proud of the fact that your debt is so low now you can do these things. What if this trip came up at the start of your journey? You would never have been able to take the opertunity. So instead of feeling gulity about going embrace the decidion you have made and enjoy yourself. Its only 2months and you can come back and be debt free by July. Not everything has to be decided due the the balance in your bank acount or the amount of debt we have hanging on our shoulders.

Now go and have a great time! Enjoy yourself, make memories, change some lives and be yourself. We will all likely still be here awaiting your return and your storys and ready to chear you on to your finishing post.

    :D

Thank you Pap for a lovely post and your lovely PM :A both made me smile today, quite an achievement for a Monday morning! :)

So, I have paid £360 to my brother meaning that I am all paid up with him. Leaving me £710 in debt as things stand at the moment, some manic saving to come in the next couple of months!

Quite amazing really, in April 2010 I felt like I couldn't breathe, now I'm looking forward to going away again :D

March Madness total is building up nicely but I am really going to have to hit eBay if I have any chance of reaching the total. I HATE eBay so will probably need a lot of kicking up the bum for this one :o

Although I lost a lot of the weekend to a hangover after my friends birthday :o, I did manage to list some more books on Amazon and also have about £7 worth to send for trade-in. It all adds up! :)

I'll miss you when you go on your epic adventure, Beccie!! It's a great thing you're doing though, don't feel like you don't belong here because of it :) Like others have said, part of getting debt free is being free to do the things you want. You're really slaying your debt at the moment too, you're doing great :j

Well done on the amazon sale too, I ended up taking all my bits down for MusicMagpie as sales really dried up!

Just DVDs, Games and CDs on Music Magpie. I used Zapper to shift some books though :) Reminds me, I have the cheque floating around for that - will need it for MM!

Must have a look at Zapper.

I've just been through my listings on Amazon and removed 4 of them to send for trade-in instead, £24.69 if they accept them :)

Nothing more paid off recently as I am still trying to save ready for Africa.

Have cracked the 1K barrier on the MM challenge so am happy with that :)

Listed 10 things on eBay over the weekend as well, which is pretty good going for me!

Went for what was suppposed to be a 10 mile walk on Sunday to practice for Africa. Turned into 15 miles  Got lost, fell over, got covered in mud, freezing cold as it didn't stop raining yet am doing it all again next Sunday :D
