Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes

I'd already had my birthday weekend the weekend before but still had more birthday things this weekend - went to a comedy club on the Thursday night with work friends and my brother cooked a birthday dinner on Sunday for my Mum and I as her birthday is the 12th. Lots more lovely presents too

Fitted in another 15 mile walk on Friday, gearing up towards the 25 mile one planned for this Sunday :eek: My walking shoes for Africa arrived at the weekend too. They are supposed to be deisgned to be worn without socks so I went on a short test walk on Sunday morning in them and so far they are living up to their reviews so am happy. Although it still hurts that they cost me £77 on sale :eek: However, 18 miles a day for 5 weeks will probably make me grateful for the investment.

More eBay listings, my last before I go, ended over the weekend so they are all packed up and ready to go to the post office after work.

Phew, back to work for a rest today!

Do you have much more to get rid of now all the ebay sales have finished? Great to here your investment footwear is working out well. Best to spend a bit more on shoes than suffer walking around Africa

Thanks Pap That was my thinking - I think over that kind of distance then all I will care about is how my feet feel!

Still loads to go I've just been selling magazines at the moment. I've made over £100 which is great but all that has removed from the flat is three magazine binders from my craft room so still loads to go. It's terrifying when I think about it!

Haven't updated for a while All money plans and eBay etc really are on hold at the moment, ready to leap back into it when I get back in June.

Had a good weekend - Army V Navy match on Saturday and lunch out and a nice walk yesterday.

Leaving for Africa tomorrow and still not organised! :eek:
