It definitely does help to make the whole thing feel more positive :D I've been thinking that a fair bit recently - as it's nearing the end of year, doing a bit of reflection and all of that!

When I first came back at the end of March things were a right mess - I hadn't been paid in 6 months and still had another month to go, I was way more in debt than I had originally thought and I was being charged late payment fees all over the place.

The next couple of months involved getting everything organised but with a lot of debt on ridiculously high APRs I didn't feel I was getting anywhere fast.

Then I started to pull it all together, make some good progress, but then I added to my debt with Borneo :o

Now I feel a lot more organised with only having 5 separate debts as opposed to the 10 I had at one point  And instead of having stupidly high APRs I now have 3 debts at 0% and the other 2 at reasonable APRs.

And along the way I have learnt (to a certain degree!) about more realistic amounts and deadlines.

So to sum up 2010 in debt-busting terms I really feel that I know what I need to do now, have the situation under control and am ready to enter 2011 in full debt-busting mode! :D

Sorry for a long boring ramble there guys :o

You have done really well Bec's, and booking Borneo hasn't really thrown you off course at all - so you really have learnt how to plan and manage your budgets :)

If you getting snow weeks always had that result for my finances I would be hoping you got snowed in every week! :)

Just cleaning tonight, and then a couple of bits to do at home so should be a nice chilled one this evening.
