saw these in Asda this afternoon, few boxes on stand near door.
  • My girlfriend called Argos at 7.50pm so that I didnt call them and insult the poor call centre staff. We were informed that apparently our copy of Kinect left the Leeds depot at 1.37pm after it arrived there at 2.38am. Its now 8.20pm. So where the hell is it?

Also will not be using Argos for preorder again, I would have been better walking down to the local Argos to pick one up without a preorder. Better yet, Argos could have delivered it at 7.45am when they delivered my sofa!

I'm sure it will come. Big let down though from Argos.

  • Picked up one from Asda this morning whilst shopping.

I wil be taking it back tomorrow as the lag on it is pretty annoying sometimes, also if someone walks in front of you it loses your signal for a split second and you have to try catch up or start again.

Was not surprised about it as I think MS will enhance it in the months to come but feel that the Wii is much better and with the new Wii console due out in Feb 2011 then MS will be well behind.

Think they have rushed this out for xmas whereas Nintendo have resisted the urge to make sure their new console is 100% accurate.

Each to their own I suppose
  • I am thoroughly disgruntled with argos customer support , my wife had day off work unpaid to wait in for delivery argos told us 10/11/10 between 7am and 6pm... 5pm rolled round and no sign so my wife rang up and was told up to 8pm due to demand on deliveries but it was definitely on its way to us and was on the van coming out to us from leeds ( 10 miles from my house) got to 7:30 pm and still no sign of it so i rang them back and was told its definitely on van and will be with you by 9 courier has it but is taking some time to deliver due to amount of preorders, i queried her over this as i could have walked from the depot on my hands in time it had taken so far, she was insistent it will definitely be with y ou by 9 so i asked what recourse i had if it wasnt and she said none because it will be there, 9pm came and went then 930 then 10pm at which point my daughter whod sat next to window like a guard dog all evening gave up and went to bed in tears, if the item wasnt available i could have lived with that if they said ohh im afraid it will be tomorrow or even friday but to lie 3 times that its on a van on its way to us and for my wife to lose out financially, my daughter be embarassed in front of her friends who were all sat waiting like idiots for it to come so they could all play on ity together, is beyond a joke i have emailed argos customer support am going to find out the email address of their head of customer support and email them and make sure all and sundry know that argos basically in this case have broken both a written in the case of my month old receipt and verbal ( 3 phone calls to people who all insisted it was on its way to us) in most shameful and brazen way

Wow! Really surprised by how many others are disgruntled by Argos's delivery.

I pre-ordered 3 weeks ago, rung a week ago based on the status report saying there was a delay with the order ( spoke to argos who said that the public facing computer systems couldn't handle pre-orders, but that I was guaranteed delivery on the 10th!!!).

Spoke to Argos 3 - 4 times today who assured it was on it's way, only to find out it's courier HDN (home delivery network - or something like that) had left a note on the system that they didn't have a complete address (even though the Argos order shows the full address!!!).

It hadn't even left the depot!!! (the call to the delivery firm cost me 8 mins @ 10p per min to find this out!!!)

Am now expecting my kinect to arrive tomorrow, but this is bad advertising for Argus (or should that read AAARRRGGHHH-US?... remember the Ads?). Wonder if anybody is up for letting watchdog know about this other than me (even though watchdog is all about sensationalism!).

Best of luck to those still waiting! Get argos to check the delivery company has the full and correct address and make sure you're getting a straight answer!

Don't think there is a new Wii Console due in Feb 2011 unless I've missed some big annoucement.

There is a new DS handheld console, called the 3DS with a 3D screen due in March 2011.

Have just taken mine back and got a refund. It just wouldn't work in our small living room unfortunately. I am really disappointed, I was so looking forward to it. It just shows the bare minimum is 1.8m from the sensor, rather than 'recommended' as it says on the box! Oh well, back to the wii it is!

I have had exactly the same problem, the sensor barely picked us up. i am a little concerned though that game won't refund if the software seal has been broken.
