Kinect Stock Availablity and Games Thread

Mine hasnt arrived yet and its for xmas - regarding its postion - can it be behind you ? We have a cinema room and all our equipment is behind us, then we have a sofa and a big gap to the cinema screen, everything is linked up to the projector screen.

i have had a text from argos to say mine is being delivered today but has not arrived yet,should i be worried?

I ordered my Kinect from Argos the first day it was available to do so on the website.

This morning, Argos delivered a couple of sofas to my house. No Kinect. Rang them.

"You are currently scheduled for a morning delivery, but it will be there before 6pm since its a high demand item"

Gets to 5.30pm and its not arrived, so I called again.

"You were misinformed earlier, you will receive it by 8pm - we are delivering later than usual because its a high demand item"

Then, they revealed a shocking piece of information:

"We only have 2 delivery vans for the entire country delivering Kinect today"

WHAT? Why only 2 vans???

To make matters worse, I live a 20 minute walk, 5 minutes by car from a large Argos, which my sister just visited before coming to my house to see me. The local Argos currently has 29 Kinect sensors available in-stock. Again, why the heck can they not deliver mine less than a mile away?

Have just taken mine back and got a refund. It just wouldn't work in our small living room unfortunately. I am really disappointed, I was so looking forward to it. It just shows the bare minimum is 1.8m from the sensor, rather than 'recommended' as it says on the box! Oh well, back to the wii it is!

Well I'm annoyed to say the least. Ordered over 2 months ago and paid the money up front (As seemed to be argos' policy.)
On the order tracking i noticed a "we have been trying to get in contact with you " over 2 weeks ago so have called 6 times in the last 2 weeks to ensure everything ok. Assured that everything was fine and would recieve it today
Taken the day off work to ensure i'm here for delivery
Called @ 10 told it would be delivered by 6.
Called @ 5:30 told they are delivering up to 8pm as all deliveries were Kinect to accomodate demand.
8pm just hit its not been delivered and conveniently the call centre is now closed.

Have bought games from another supplier and even though i had a delievery dte of the 15th they came today.
I am beyond annoyed. Tomorrow i'll have to go into work and will no doubt miss delivery.
Will not be using again for pre order :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Update: Very suprised to say it got delivered @ 8:30-8:45 last night. Glad they kept their promise to deliver today but still sticking to the fact i won't use again for pre order as i don't feel i should order something months in advance to ave it turn up at the end of the release date when from what iu hear thee have been very few issues with ther stockists

Hope anyone waiting for theirs gets it first thing on Thursday

Where can I get a Kinect (even with a game) for the cheapest?

I have read Sainsburys beause they have the Kinect and a game of your choice. Does anyone know of anywhere else? Thank you.
