Kinect Stock Availablity and Games Thread

For those whose kids want Kinect for Christmas, stocks for pre-order are pretty well dried up and there are starting to be waiting lists.

Kinect now out of stock at Amazon and Play.com and since the below article was printed now The Hut.

Anybody know which stockists still taking orders??

Don't think many stockists are taking pre-orders. we have ours pre-ordered with game thankfully.

There are a few catalogues suggesting 8th December for possibly more stock. Getting very close to Christmas.

The main problem with catalogues is they often put the date back on things, so not the best idea to order from them.

I had a look on hukd about Kinect as that site seems a bit more techie than here, nearly every deal posted about it got a negative response, with them all thinking it's too expensive and the price will fall.

I do understand if your kids want it for xmas you need to go for it but as an impulse purchase maybe we should be waiting?

I can still see this selling out faster than the Wii did, and this will be so hard to get leading upto Christmas. Worth a thread, I thought!!

My hubby is a techie and he disagrees with the majority of hukd.. the problem with hukd there is many ps3 players on there and they often attack anything that is to do with microsoft.

Yes it is well worth a thread and I bet it is the one thing kids ask for when its too late for me to get one lol.

I really struggle with techie things and didn't even know what a kinnect did, hence me looking on hukd.

I agree there is a big xbox/PS3 split over there - good fun watching the rants lol

You are right the majority on HDUk hate anything XBOX! :eek:

I didnt think it was worth getting as we got a Wii but a friend who is a complete techie geek assures me it will be way better then the Wii and def worth getting. I am just hoping they release a game with the Kinect itself as the SA in Game when we pre-ordered ours wasnt sure and they hadnt been told what it was coming with. This was a month ago :cool:
