Hi,
I pre-ordered mine from Smyths the toy shop 10 days ago-hope this helps,0 -
I actually got to trial the kinect about 6 months ago and it is completely amazing. I couldn't believe that you could go through the menus by waving your hand in front of you, it felt as though I was in a sci-fi movie! Only problem is that I got to play it on a huge flatscreen TV and I've only got a small 32" at home, I think I need a new TV!0

Dont know if this site is decent but found this http://www.latestchoice.com/games/game-accessories/kinect-with-kinect-adventures/130/27536.html?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=CPC&utm_term=Kinect%2B1&utm_content=Kinect%2B1&utm_campaign=Kinect%2B1&gclid=CNSXy6Pf3KQCFUsB4wodpi8KLA
£114 cheapest ive seen but that could of course be a bad sign rather than good.Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p0 -
I just see it as being another passing fad.... We bought a Wii 2 years ago, and it's done nothing but gather dust for the last 6-9 months. I predict that 50+% of Kinect's end up the same.
All these things are great for "party" gaming, but not really much use for casual solo gamers.
I don't start playing on my Xbox until about 9.30 at night, and the last thing I want to do is be active with it, especially after a long day at work.
I'm all for just crashing out on the sofa with the controller in my hand.0 -
This is true, but i think the point is that this will be the future of gaming. Have you seen the film gamer? Not really far from that is it - well, maybe a while off
For me its the little things like voice recognition and using your hand to scroll through the dashboard etc, which you might say is not worth the hype or the price, but if one day this will be standard, then it is a big deal to be the first generation to experience it dont you think?Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p0 -
I would agree that it will be a fad but I'm still going to get one, even if some of the games are a bit tedious0

I think the Kinect is going to be awesome and will really improve the gaming experience for many types of games. It won't replace the controller because some games are just better with them (e.g. FPS). However, the casual party games have a much wider appeal and will be perfect for those types.0

Didn't want to risk unhappy DS. Pre-ordered from Argos - still available. Also used Topcashback.0

I've just found this in the net.
Only Argos are now taking pre-orders. Everywhere else sold out (the next 3 down on the list are OOS)

We preordered ours from our nearest Blockbuster store." Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start now and make a brand new ending. "0
