I have the same message as jkb .argos should not have taken the payment for preorders untill they despatched them,dont know why this happens every time its christmas and the next new big thing is released.
I will await delivery hopefully

The GAME group have got around 75% of the stock in the UK, so they're probably the best bet to try.

I did not create an account with Argos, so cannot check the status of mine. I have got 2 expected to be delivered on Wednesday.

Just phoned them and he said it does look like it is going to be delivered on Wednesday but he can't guarantee it and to call them if it doesn't arrive!! Great! Not needing it until Xmas so am hopefuly it will arrive before then! Just wanted to warn others - check your order status.

I got the same message on my order and when I rang up as soon as I told him what the message was he knew it was about Kinect even without giving him my order number so it looks like it was a message that was sent to everyone with a pre order.

My gut feeling is that they will have enough stock to go around, but they are having to use stock they orginally had alocated for their stores for the pre orders and the logistics of getting the stock from the stores to couriers may mean that some people going to have ot wait a couple of days to get their unit.

I'm going to Argos latter today to pick up something else so I will see if I can get more information from them :P

Asda struggling with Kinect launch stock.

Only pre orders available on launch or those as part of a package.

'As most people will probably know stock of Kinect is likely to be in pretty short supply at launch and this will be right across the market, so we are doing everything we can to get stock to store as quickly as we get it from Microsoft. For the midnight launch we will have 4Gb with Kinect on free sale, however only pre-orders of the solus bar are likely to be available'

Only ordered mine on sunday night and got a despatch email today as well. Im sooo happy as through all the surveys i have been doing, this is coming to me for free because of them, so a very happy man here
