I think we should all boycot buying their big gifts entirely and force MR B to have them all in the 75% off sale lol!!!! Ok, ok......I can dream lol!!![/QUOTE]

Great value when they used to be on 3 for 2 as well as OOTW but sadly this is no longer the case in recent years. I love S&G, but there is no way on earth that tote is worth £60 on its own. You could pick up most of the items way cheaper individually on the 3 for 2 offer.

You are so right because on the 342 all the stuff in the S&g tote bag you can buy for a lot less than £60, I looked in it the other day as the lid was off and lurking at the very bottom of the massive tote bag is a 10 items, one being a huge shower sponge worth pennies and 9 other items, I wrote them all down on a piece of paper, went over to the other side of boots on the 342 and priced it up, it was nowhere near £60:eek:0 -
The hat boxes definitely weren't on 3 for 2 last year, I got up early to get 4 of them in my local Boots for me and my bridesmaids.0

If you want to know you're getting a true 'bargain' then you need to work it out in percentages. I can understand where Boots Logic is coming from, but it doesn't quite add up.
In Boots logic, if I was already buying nappies but I used my extra points to get them, then that's £12 in my bank, so a whole £12 saving. However, I had to spend the £50 at a Boots night in the first place to receive them, so the £12 is not free with a 50 spend.. it's actually a £62 spend in total.
If you're buying 3 totes at a Boots night (Are they 60 each?)
3 x 60 (3 FOR 2 KICKS IN) = £120
Points = 2480 (2 x 1000 points then 120 x 4 for usual points)
So once points are used, you have spent £148.80 in total and received £24.80 of this for free. This is 16%
Now you can work out the true cost of each tote. 60-16% = (60-9.60) = £50.40 x 2 = 100.80
And the best bit, you bought 3 not 2, so divide this total by 3 = £33.60
A good deal I think
And there is nothing stopping you from contacting customer services (and Boots, in my experience, have the BEST customer service) and venting your grief when they go half price and possibly receiving a goodwill gesture?
HTH
Thank goodness for windows calculator!!

Not sure if it is the same this year but the "Glad hair day" (which was disgusting) was a travel sized, as was the hand foodDFW Nerd #awaiting number - Proud to be dealing with my debts!
Dont cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Glad Hair Day wasn't in a giftset last year as it's a new product this year -- it's a shampoo, you're probably thinking of the hair mask called Hair Supply (which I like, but I know some don't). And it looks like a full size shampoo in this year's s&g tote, and full size hand food.0 -
whats OOTW mean please?0
