always a bonus). :j
The deal on the s&g tote isn't worth waiting for OOTW if you want 3 *unless* they do it 2 for 3, as I think they did with the s&g hatbox offer of the week last year. Now *that* would be useful info to a few people, lol.0 -

Hi. Ive been reading through, and can i just say (please dont shoot me down) that with regards to the boots points, im not sure that i get where you are coming from with the boots logic, because as far as i can make out, you physically have to spend the money to get the points. So if you were trying to make out that you when you receive points it makes the price of a product seem more reduced, in which case, that means you have 'spent' the points, therefore, when you do actually spend the points, it is actually costing you money, because otherwise you would be receiving the points twice. Please forgive me if this doesnt make sense, but im just trying to show that its not as much as a bargain as it mights seem.
For EXAMPLE: £50 spend on Points night = 1200 (£12.00)
1200 buys gift = free
However the way i feel some people think it is....
£50 spend on points night - 1200 (£12.00) = £38.00 (so called boots logic)
BUT that means the 1200 points are actually not able to use, otherwise you would have two lots of discounts
Please feel free to correct me though if i am wrong0 -

I don't think it was 342 last year. I was on holiday (badly timed!) but had a friend lined up to get mine for me. She had instructions to get three if it was 342 and I just ended up with one.0 -
Have just found code for 10% off so 3 x tote bags for £108. Is that a good deal?Mortgage Free as of 31/5/11 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

Maybe I am being thick, but I think it depends on how you are planning to spend the points. If you see them as the equivalent of 'cash in the Boots bank', then the Boots logic holds. I use points as carefully as cash, spending them when there is no advantage in spending cash. But if you see the points as a delightful source of free gifts for self, then I think your logic is right. (I didn't quite understand your two lots of discounts point though.)0 -
