    Morning

Pleased the move went ok Red xx I admire anyone who can move with children. I moved once before we had the boys, and that was bad enough. This house was empty and a first time buyer was buying mine, so I managed to get the keys for here on the Friday and didn't have to pass my old ones on until the Monday, so I had a whole weekend to move.

Sorry to hear about Emma's Diary Susan xx That's really insensitive of them now  Weezl's email is brilliant

Rubbish nights sleep here. Feel yuk still and only managed a couple of hours :( Got to go to work this morning and have got a serious case of CBA :o

Hope everyone has a good day xx
Here I go again on my own....

    Good Morning :)

Elliot got me up at 2am this morning, I realised why at half past....he was hungry! I'm not used to him waking up for this reason any more (as he's 2 and hasnt asked for food/drink at night for a long time). So I had to give him breakfast-weetabix and a yoghurt at this silly time of the morning. He got back up just before 8 wanting a second breakfast...so more weetabix and a fruit pot! I'm not sure if it's because he didn't eat much for tea last night.

Poor little man was stood there, looking at me...i wish he'd had let me know he was hungry. I went through everything, teeth hurting, want a drink? nappy full? Ohhh are you hungry?! He then nods and walks to the kitchen lol! :) He then happily goes back to bed.

My back is still aching, def pulled something. Hopefully won't be too long before it feels better though.

    Keely.

That's a good email Weezl, but I feel not sufficiently angry and urgent enough. I think Susan needs to step it up a notch. Be meaner, you can do it!

Glad to hear you're still alive, Red! We moved with a baby but it was minimal furniture and only small flat to medium flat. I HATED packing but it was nice on the day as I was babysitter and DH/BIL did all the heavy lifting :D.

Finn was just be so cute and cheerful this morning, I didn't want to leave! I think it's because of Christmas coming up, but I feel quite sappy and emotional these days with leaving him...:o DH is home today, so it's nicer and I don't have to rush aorund to get him to the CM's on time.

Speaking of...I was going to put together a small version of the family hampers for CM for Christmas...does this sound okay? Appropriate? It would have a few homemade preserves, fudge and biscotti. Is that enough?

Sounds lovely Aless and very original too :)

I really hope Husband's gift arrives in time. It is bad enough that he is sick right now and that he's isolated the pain meds as the ones messing with his eyes so he's either unable to focus (great when your job requires reading all day) or in pain. But to not get his Christmas presents because someone CBA going to the post office? Pfft.

    morning everyone x

well done with the move red. We moved when DD was about 3 months old - I went on a week long holiday to my dads in the scilly isles and OH and my best friend packed, moved everything and unpacked before I got home. Also on the way home I didn't fancy doing the underground with the baby so got OH to pick me up from exeter, gotta love him x We moved again in jan but had over 2 weeks overlap so was able to clean new place, paint a bit, move most stuff, OH is lorry driver so one sat he borrowed a lorry and moved the big bits, then we cleaned the old place. OH never wants to move again bless him.

Well I am off to the docs at 11:20, hopefully he'll give me something this time as am in significant amount of pain and just want to be normal again. I want to be able to look after the baby properly and do some housework, it's really frustrating and I'm actually a little worried for my mental health if it carries on much longer.

    Well, the dongler still works!
Forgot to add (well, I did add this morning at about 7am but stupid laptop ate it!), we found out yesterday that the council have ok'd A to transfer schools to the little village school here, so she starts after Christmas. Broke the news to her last night. There was a bit of a wobble to her lip as she said that she'll miss her best friend Tom, but, bless her, she's trying to deal with it well. I'm taking her to visit the school on Thursday afternoon and to meet her new teacher, and she's obviously nervous but she's trying to hide it.
    Also tried to add this morning in the eaten post;
    Bruno - huge congratulations.
Susan, I'm really sorry that Emma's Diary are being so insensitive, it's the last thing you need.
    Weezl - I think that reply's good.
Aless - I think that's a lovely idea for the CM.
Merfe - we've sworn never to move again :D. Or at least, to never move ourselves again. It's been incredibly stressful, DH and his friend managed all the heavy lifting, while I helped with the rest of it, and I had to do most of the packing, but it is lovely to be here. I'm sitting in my living room with the laptop, looking straight out the back through the conservatory at the garden and the lovely view of the fields and hills out the back and I feel like I've finally relaxed for the first time in weeks! Merfe - I hope the dr can give you some decent pain relief.
SS - That sounds really frustrating, I'd be quite angry.
Keely - hope your back feels better soon.
Som - I hope T is feeling better?
Hope I haven't missed too much - has there been any other news? How is everyone doing?
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
  • Morning everyone,

    Hugs to all.

Merfe - I holidayed in the Scillies from the age of 9 - 18 and I love the place :) Not too keen on the Scillonion though makes me poorly :( The plane is fun, never attempted the helicopter.

Red - so pleased the move was completed successfully.

Katie is at Toddlers with mum this morning, so just been drafting up a cover letter for a fab job. Signing on day here, then Katie has her dance class later.
